They said not to use it vertically, I did anyway, I think the only reason it said it is because; the oil sight glass is in the middle. If you don't mind tipping your machine to check the oil occasionally it will be fine! (and it's less than half the price of a vertical unit.

I bought this pump in May of 2019 and it has had no easy life. April of 2024 its just starting to die. Simply can't beat it for the price and quality.

I just finished power washing my dirty, algae/moss covered 3 car driveway with this new pump freshly installed on my old Excell XC 2600 pressure washer, and it worked great. The pump was simple to install onto the Honda GC160 motor. I bought just 4 new bolts (5/16-24x1") because the pump flange on the new pump is thicker than the original pump. There was also a gear on the 7/8" output shaft on the Honda motor that was rusted on. I soaked it overnight with a good penetrant and got it off with two pry bars (to provide even pressure). I'm very happy with the performance of this pump--it's basically the same as the original pump.

I bought this compact unit to replace my XR2600's deVilbiss reciprocating pump (second picture) because I was unable to repair its seized unloader valve, and spares are unavailable The new pump's attachment flange is thicker than the old flange, allowing the bolts only 2-1/2 threads to engage into the aluminum crankcase, which would be likely to strip. Four new 5/16-24 x 1" bolts and flat washers from my local hardware store fixed that. The kit was supposed to include a 3/16" square key, but my unit was an Amazon Warehouse return whose key was missing. Fortunately I had a spare key. The original deVilbiss pump was driven by a complicated sintered steel drive spline whose built-in key securely engaged the crankshaft with a set screw. The new pump has an aluminum drive sleeve with a single keyway and no set screw. The motor's torque, transferred entirely through this keyway, over time may distort the soft aluminum or even crack it. The new pump delivered adequate pressure and volume and didn't leak water. A few drops of gear oil did seep from the hole in the top of the vent plug, but after I wiped it off, no more leaked out in two hours of use. This compact pump vibrated less than the original reciprocating design.

The pump was very easy to install and works great so far. The pump is a bit pricey but worth the money.

The pressure water pump was what we got and it came exactly when they said it would be delivered to our house.

The 16 year old pump on my Powerstroke pressure washer gave up and I replaced it with this one. Came with instructions, filled with gear oil, and shipped fast. I'm very pleased with the output of the new one.
