It couldn't be any cheaper of a plastic toy. The instructions are cryptic when you first get it, in part due to the 1pt font and pictures that require the use of a lighted magnifying glass. But it's not rocket science either, so once you do figure it out, it's pretty easy.If I had to use this for the long haul on a very regular basis, I'd invest in a higher-quality gun, but it does work.

I love that this is so easy to use. I’m preparing for a neighborhood yard sale in the Spring. I’ve already priced 50 items of clothing and more to go. I love the size and how easy it is to use. It’s just been great.

As others have mentioned, the included instructions are inadequate. The diagrams are too small to be of assistance, especially, the one showing how to load the strip of fasteners. Sure, it's obvious once you've figured it out (I do the seller's job for them and attach a photo of the fasteners properly loaded.) But takes too long through trial and error and trying to envision on one's own how the fasteners should pass through the needle because the instructions/diagram are worthlessly too small and undetailed.I've only had it for one day, but can't imagine this simple design braking down soon. Actual operation is straightforward and easy. Extra needles are included, a plus. The included fasteners are serviceable, if a bit small and cheap looking. (I don't think customers will really care about the latter.) But, seriously, include helpful diagrams.

I volunteer at a tiny thrift store that gives all of our proceeds back to our community ( scholarships, little league, TV and holiday meals for the senior center, AYSO etc, etc). When I first started, we used string tags thru button holes or tiny( not so safe) safety pins with tags tied to the pin, say for a teddy bear. Not easy and very time consuming. We cried when tiny hands had “fun†ripping tags off. We price between 100-500+ items per our 3 day week.These tagging guns save us a lot of time and are safer for our customers ( no pins )! We can tag all of our clothes in a consistent place which is easier to see. The guns don’t last forever however, they are not too costly to replace as needed. When tagging bulky items, yards of material for instance, if the device that plunges the plastic attachment thru the needle and tag gets slightly bent, the gun will no longer work well. Not a device problem but a user problem.
