Your cart is empty.Binding/binder posts, also called barrel nuts, are internally threaded and accept a machine screw of the same diameter and thread size. Since the head of a binding post sits nearly flush against the surface, they can be used in applications where there may not be room for a protruding screw tip and hex nut. They can also be used as a substitute for rivets in some cases.

Needed to fix a handle on a machete. Perfect except only one side has a flat head screw slot the other side is flat

I bought them to repair a couple camp chairs, they are fine for that purpose. Quality control is lacking, I got 26 posts and 25 screws. 3 of the screws an 2 of the posts had messed up threads. I only needed 4 right now so for the price, ok.

I ordered these binding posts for a Hobby Project I am working on. I did not need robust steel posts, aluminum ones would do. The posts are solid in design and the threads did not have any issue with the screws. I would buy these again.

I'm making scrapbooks with needlepoint fronts/ backs. The first 3 sets of 3/16 x1" screw posts I got (Everbilt, sold singly at a local hardware store) were fantastic. Wanting to buy in bulk > I purchased a box of 25 of these PLPCI brand 3/16 x1" screw posts. Well, they seemed much lighter (both brands advertised as aluminum) and the screws were a bit harder to twist in the posts > but at that point, no problem. BUT > I quickly realized these scrapbooks needed to be EXPANDABLE, so back online I went, and ordered 1/2' (3/16) extension posts from TruBind. THEY CANNOT BE SCREWED INTO THE PLPCI POSTS. At first I figured the extension posts were the problem > but they fit perfectly into the Everbilt screw posts. So now I'm back to suggest to future buyers that you stick to one brand across all items > or don't use these PLPCI brand 1" screw posts > they are NOT amenable to extension posts (at least not from other companies).
