These Tilt Latches by Prime-Line Products are constructed of plastic and come white in color. They are spring-loaded, and are designed for use on vertical vinyl sliding windows. They fit both single- and double-hung vinyl sliding windows, and the housings measure 3-1/2 inch in length, 1-1/4 inch in width. The mounting holes are 2-5/16 inch on center, and they feature a 7/8 inch backset. These latches are easy to install and they are used by a variety of window manufactures.

The only issue which I had with this product was that it was slightly larger than my original one, however it still worked on my window, making the window possible to stay shut or making the window easy to open. Price of the product and shipping was a great deal.

Pay attention to the size measurements. Although the window is the same width as the latch, the screws hit the metal frame of the glass, so I had to reorder some that are a 1/4 inch smaller.

We purchased these as a temporary fix on our windows. Easy to install! I don’t suggest them on older windows but the newer window we used it on it works like a charm. Great replacement part
