This is a shelf support peg with a 1/4 inch diameter. Comes in a clear plastic construction. Typically you will find these used by a variety of cabinet manufacturers as well as book shelf manufacturers. Each peg has a 5 lb. maximum safe load capacity. There are 8 shelf pegs per package and they are simple to install, just push them into the hole in your cabinet or bookshelf.

We had a few of these missing and damaged where we keep our bathroom towels. They are very simple to install, but the fitting was a little difficult on a couple of them. They function very well holding the shelf up and I haven't had any trouble with it. Regarding the value though, I would say this item is definitely overpriced. You should definitely include more in the package.

Great sturdy shelf holder. The original holder in my cabinet broke. I bought this replacement holder and it works great. Holds my shelf up with no problems. Easy to install and use.

These replaced the older wood pegs in a shelving unit I have. The original ones in my kitchen cabinets were 40 yrs old, made of plastic, over time like everything else it stops working properly. So these were great replacements

I first went to a hardware store and bought a container with pegs. When I tried to install, the pegs were too small and fell out of the cabinet holes, in addition to only giving me seven pegs. Seven pegs, that means I'd have to go back and buy another package and I only needed one more peg. The pegs through amazon fit perfectly in the cabinet holes and they gave me the right amount to install two shelves. ;-)

These worked great. I wasn't sure of peg size needed but took a chance as there seemed to be standard sizing and they worked! I didn't order the same type as already in my cabinet but since they were breaking anyway I bought this simple type and they were easy to install and are strong.
