With the local deer zone I hunt as early as it is calling has never been a tactic anyone I know or has ever tried. This season on a small tract of land I have access to I’ve been watching 4 bucks, two monsters, that simply will not cross the property line during shooting hours. I figured being later in Oct now, season almost closed, for the price picking one up to try throwing in some vocalizations to get that last 200-300yds I need couldn’t hurt.Got the call, it seems to be made well enough for my first deer call other than The Can which again hunting pre rut, I’ve never had luck with and can be counterproductive. This call is very simply to use, with a very little trial and error I got some decent sound out of it. I don’t know how much different each setting there really but, set on Young Buck works for what I’m looking for. Small enough to stow up easy throw in a pack, a [larger] pocket or, the side pouches on some bino harness which works perfect for me.Time and a chance to use it will tell how effective it actually is. Even if not effective during the season I am interested in seeing how it works during the rut when I’m out hunting other game or non game animals.

Easy to use, works for blacktails too! Be sure to spend time on YouTube University learning blacktail calling techniques. Really looking forward to using this during my muzzleloader rut hut this fall!

Bought this to mess with my hunting partner while doing so I called in the biggest buck I ever seen. Don't know if it was right place right time or the call, but I'll give this call all the credit.

Should've read the reviews before purchasing, sounds good but I left it on the dash and it stopped working the next day, it happened twice now, I thought the first one was defective. I have left another grunter on my dash all summer and winter with not a single problem. Do not recommend if you plan on keeping it in your vehicle year round

Stopped working 2hrs into my first hunt and continued its crappiness on my next 2 hunts as well, the smallest amount of moisture from your breath and it stops working. Absolute garbage dont waste your money.That being said, if and when it works it does bring the deer in.
