I have owned one of these for years and can absolutely guarantee that they work extremely well! I have used the rattle bag in conjunction with a grunt call.I have called in a couple dozen bucks of all sizes over the years, including a nice 140 class 8 point I called in from 200 yards away in a neighbors field as he was cruising for does during the rut. Also, a 150 class 10 point that I got to see battle another buck the same size; both of them were dogging a hot doe. He won the fight and left with the doe. After about an hour he came wandering back toward my land and I was able to turn him my way and lure him within 100 yards. Both of them are now on my living room wall!I feel the sound is very good and you can easily produce any sound from small bucks playing around to a full-out king kong war between the mack daddies of the woods. The small size makes it easy to rattle without flailing my arms around and easy to lay the bag down to pick up my bow or gun. Also, much easier and safer to carry and use than real antlers with sharp points going in every direction.The only problem I have had is after years of use the camo, mesh bag has developed a couple of small holes which were easily repaired with needle and thread.I just bought my son and daughter-in-law a set of these and would recommend you get a set, too!

WOW! I was a bit skeptical, but purchased after reading the reviews. I was caught totally by surprise the first time I used this call. Literally within 2 minutes of making 3 short rattles I had a 6 point buck walk out of the palmettos to investigate. I had just put them up and my rifle was still slung on my shoulder while standing in a dried up swamp bed by a Cyprus tree here in South West Florida. Unfortunately I was unable to draw as he was looking right at me licking his nose to identify the intruders. Fortunately the wind was in my favor. I have never used a call or rattle before this is my first experience. I will be back next weekend and I will not make the mistake of not being ready to shoot this time. I find it odd as I had been in the area and was finishing up for the morning so I was not being especially quiet when walking through the palmetto's as I entered the dried up swamp. I like these because they are compact and easy to carry. One tip I have discovered while practicing with these at the house. The bag has a draw string at the top, do not cinch in all the way as it does not allow the pieces inside of it much room to hit each other. Open it slightly and test it until you get the sound you like. Be careful not to open it too much or you may have a piece come out while using it. Also when using it try to keep the drawstring end angled up not down.

Product works great and as expected from PRIMOS. I had better sound quality when using it with my bare hands over when they were gloved. Might have to practice more with gloves to see if anything changes. Packs away nice and easy to grab out of your pack. Good sound too!

Realistic as ever. I've heard some complaints that they sound like plastic (which they are) but I can barely tell the difference and I'm quite certain deer can't tell the difference. If they could, they would tell us right? In all seriousness, buy them, test them out for yourself. If you success with them, then they work. If you don't, well it's probably because their not the real thing.. Ok, I'm still joking around.My experience, I had a nice 8-point walk across my view about 150yds away. I hit this rattle bag a couple of times to put him on a dead stop. He turned and began walking right towards me to about 80yds away, I took my shot and had venison for dinner. They work for me, I say their worth the money spent. Not joking.

I purchased this because my black rack can be a pain to pack around but I'll probably have to deal with it because this bag sounds more like tiny bucks fighting. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but as of now I'm not too happy with the product. Its tiny, light and way more convenient than the black rack but the sound and realism of big mature bucks fighting just isnt there.

Sounds pretty similar to actual buck sparring, but not as authentic as true antlers. However, this goes in your pocket, and is easy to use in the stand. I also think during the rut, any sound which is pretty similar to what you are attempting to achieve will work. I like the elastic band to silence the sticks.
