It's a bit odd to call a paintbrush beautiful even if it is, but it's hard to deny that this one is. The satin smooth texture and jewel deep red are lovely. Then there is the sheer ease of use for this type of brush, making adding foliage a breeze. The bristles are strong and well attached as well as ideally shaped for their use. The brush is easy to clean and does not lose either shape or hairs.

I am happy with this brush. It creates fine strokes when painting fur or grass. The effect is painterly but more subtle than is possible with a regular brush, unless you really want to paint every single hair with a teeny, weeny paint brush. In the past I have used a fan brush for similar purchases, but this Princeton brush gives me better control and more natural effects. I have been using it with both gouache and acrylics, and I highly recommend this brush for those mediums.

The brush is comfortable to hold and can get some great effects, but it takes practice at first. Good for painting wisps of hair, and fur.
