I'm very pleased with the build quality and weight of the press. It's very easy to assemble and I don't think you'll need to buy extra blankets because it works well with just the single blanket it ships with. I had a Blick press that cost 6 times more and, for my purposes, this press can do everything the more expensive press could do.

This machine is perfect for artists and printmakers who need flexibility in their printing methods, whether it's etching, embossing, or block printing. The all-metal construction feels durable and built to last, which is essential for professional use. It produces precise, high-quality prints with sharp details, making it great for monochrome or more intricate designs. The 11" x 10" printing size offers plenty of space for various projects, and the controls are straightforward enough for both beginners and seasoned artists to use with ease. It’s a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable, professional-grade printing press.

This printing press is really accurate! I use it for mixed media, embossing copper, printmaking, and everything in between. It needs to be clamped to the table or counter, but it has slots to do it. You need to get a clamp if you don't have one, make sure it's a C-clamp with a narrow jaw but wide enough to fit the counter and the press. If you can afford it, buy two clamps, it works with one but it's frustrating. The action of the press is very smooth, its easy to slowly go over something. It came with very little instructions.

It was a used item yet it shouldn’t have been resold. The metal roller had been damaged with metal sites in. This would leave marks on any print projects.

This little press is marketed to various printmakers, and this is review is just for using it for linocut printing.I'm relatively new to printing and bought this to learn. As others have noted, the press is very robust, heavy, and well-constructed. It was very easy to put together. I mounted the press on a wooden base (see picture) which made it much easier for one person to operate (there are mounting holes in the frame that make this easy, if you have basic handyman skills and a few common tools. You'll need to buy mounting bolts from a hardware store).I've been playing around with the press for a couple of months, and it has been a struggle. I've found that the upper cylinder often binds (stops rotating), and I get a lot of slippage in printing (smearing). After looking online, I've started to use the press without the felt top cloth, and the results are better. But it is still very finicky. I find it very hard to control the quality of the printing, and in many cases I've abandoned it for using a baren.Online, some printmakers have told me they've experienced the same problems. One suggested that the small size of the press, and small diameter of the rollers, makes it unsuitable for relief printing.I'd be interested in hearing if others have solved for these problems!

Presses can be pretty expensive for decent quality ones, and this little press fills the gap nicely because its decently affordable and still large enough for a beginner just getting started out. I do linoleum block printing and this press is perfect for doing my greeting cards with. the pressure (height) adjustment screws are nice and smooth and once you get the felt broken in the cranking is smooth as well. The felt that comes with this press is hard as a rock to start with and if you dont take the time to break it in, its going to be really difficult to get it to work easily. felts are supposed to be soft and supple. It actually should have 2 felts, but does work well enough with just the one that is provided. not many instructions with this press, but as you can see from the pictures, you really dont need too many because it comes nearly all assembled already and there are a multitude of youtube videos out there that go over basic setup. the press is made of a nice thick steel and I have not had any issues at all with the press so far.
