The item pictured is on a cork product is not on a slant. I didn't find that it kept wine chilled on its own. Im not sure how it would I had a normal sized wine bottle and the sides of the container were not even close to touching the sides on the bottle. But if you place ice in the bottom and a little water it becomes a makeshift ice bucket and that does the job. Using it this way I like it because you can see the label.

This was a great idea but for those of us that like to purchase the big bottles of wine, this simply wont work.I purchased it with the thought that it would fit any bottle size and was disappointed when it didn't. If you are buying this item keep in mind that you can only use the 750ml bottles or smaller.With that said, it functions perfectly. It does keep your wine cooler longer and holds it own when set with other crystal and glassware on the table.

We were a little hesitant to purchase this, wondering whether it would actually work...it does. It's great being able to not have to worry about ice melting or about the cooler perspiring. The cooler not only works well, but it looks classy, too. One attribute that drew us to this double-walled cooler over others is the fact that it can accommodate a champagne bottle. The instructions say it can keep a bottle cool for several hours, but we certainly don't take that long to get through a bottle. We also like the fact that it is made of acrylic, so it is shatterproof. Now we are able to have a cool bottle of wine or champagne near us without having to make trips to the fridge. Very nice.

I bought this on a whim, thinking it probably wouldn't work, but I was tired of dripping white wine bottles at gatherings, so I was surprised when it functioned well, as advertised. It won't keep white wine as cold as an ice bucket with ice in it, but the trade-off is that people can read the label on the bottle without removing the bottle, and it keeps the wine cold enough, long enough for the life of the bottle at the average party or gathering -- and there is no condensation ring from the bucket or drips from the bottle to damage the table it's sitting on.
