Your cart is empty.Shield Gas Flow Tester. Now you can accurately and conveniently measure the actual shield gas flow rates at the torch. This easy to use device will take the guesswork out of optimizing your welds, and save on shield gas cost. For production applications the benefits of documenting flow rates – at the torch – will pay off with reduced weld variations and lower gas usage.

I am a welding engineer. I needed one for WPS development. I bought this flow meter because Profax is a reputable welding supply manufacturer and supplier. The gauge works as intended. I bought 2 and they read exactly the same. Also you do not have to convert units which make it really convenient. If you work GMAW, GTAW or FCAW-G processes this is the meter for you. Don't buy the cheap inaccurate Chinese ones.

This will tell you true gas flow, versus what your regulator is telling you.Greatly improved my tig welding, being able to set gas flow properly.

Worked and found out argon flow meter wasn't supplying enough argon

One of the few that reads in cfh. Excellent way to double check your Argon flow gauge. If there is a big discretion between the meter and your gauge, you may have a leak, if no leaks, your gauge may either be worn or poor quality.

This gauge helps a ton with gas coverage. I actually found that I had a pretty substantial leak from my torch and I had been wasting argon.

I was wondering why my aluminum welds were suddenly coming out so terrible. I bought this flow meter and measured the argon output at the torch. The flow meter at the welder was at 20 CFH. The flow rate at the torch was just 5.Turns out there was a bad leak in the hose that connected the welder to the main power cable/argon hose. This flow meter is something that every TIG welder should have to make sure that the torch is getting the correct argon flow rate and coverage.

This comes in handy to check against my flow meter to make sure I'm getting the right amount of argon coverage. And, it's the only one I saw that reads in CFH.
