This product did save me time when working on my car. I had a misfire and found #3 injector was not working. I did use a noid light to verify I did not have power going to the injector. Furthermore, I did use this stethoscope to listen to the other 7 injectors to make sure they were working, that saved me a lot of time over disconnecting all the injector wires and using the noid light. This is a handy tool to own, but I do wish it would have come with a pouch to keep the tool in so parts wouldn't get lost easy.

An essential piece of diagnostic equipment that is worth more than its weight in gold. Helps pinpoint noises deep in the engine, allowed me to determine a tapping noise to be a failing injector rather than a camshaft lifter which would have been far more costly to repair. They fit in the ear nicely, are light enough that hanging around the neck you forget its there, and isolates the sounds.

They work great. Some people use a stick, some use a hose but buying these makes it a little easier to listen to your vehicle. Pinpoint which pulley bearing is going out, if an injector is firing, rattles under the hood or along the exhaust system.

If you're looking for a non-digital stethoscope, this will suit you just fine. Nothing fancy, nothing extra, but it works as you'd expect and that's good enough for me.

I was a bit hesitant using this thing - thinking it to be a little gimmicky. But I was completely surprised at how much information this gave me immediately - being able to "listen" to specific engine parts is amazing....though, you are really just hearing the vibrations of the parts. Works perfectly for its intended use. Would be handy if it came with some small (even cheap) case so it wasn't just floating around my tool chest.

4 stars only because it seems like it's light duty...but if I'm careful with it ...it should last a while.I haven't had one of these before...so "light duty" may be inaccurate, but it seems like it might not be very durable in a shop environment. It's a good and simple tool, though, that will make it easier to pinpoint problems with my engine.Sometimes, it's hard to hear bearings that are wearing out...or to tell what component is making the engine sound like it's going to blow up at any moment. This should help.And...I will be gentle with it.I'd like to have it for a while.
