This product had poor quality workmanship. The groove in the neck for the thermostat was too shallow and would not allow the thermostat to recess into it deep enough and prevented the neck from sealing against the intake.

I bought this for a 351W that had a Ford SVO Motorsports housing on it that has leaked off and one since it was built 3 years ago. The SVO piece would leak, I'd tighten the bolts, then it would start leaking a few months later. Lather, rinse, repeat... This one piece was about 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch thicker in the base area that seals against the engine block. This one also differed from the SVO housing in that the SVO version had the ridges machined into the face for sealing whereas the Proform had a single flat plane machined into it.This is also less expensive than the two big names in aftermarket items and is eligibly for free shipping where the other guys charge a flat shipping and handling fee...fine if you're buying 20 items, not so great if you need one 10 dollar piece.So far it doesn't leak. I hope it stays that way.As the review title states, the description is wrong for small block Ford version, it uses a flat gasket (better in my opinion) versus an O-Ring gasket.

Exactly what I wanted to replace my old chrome one. I didn't use the rubber O ring that came with it, but instead bought the gasket that the old water neck had on it. No leaks and looks great!

Product was delivered with the package torn open, bolts and gasket were missing. Not a big deal, but this should not happen!!

Arrived opened in an old scratch up package. Looks like the last one on the shelf. No gasket, no bolts.
