I ordered the first one and it was damaged in packaging, the return one has the same issues. With the cost of product these days, the least can be done is better quality control in packaging. Neither of the 2 boxes shipped in were damaged. The damage comes from the loose water fitting in package. A small separation of using cardboard could of prevented this. I’m disappointed as I have used proforms products before and always been happy with them. But the quality has really gone down hill.

PUT THIS ON A DRAG RACING VEHICLE AND HAS LASTED OVER THE FALL RACING SEASON. ONLY TIME WILL TELL IF LASTS ANOTHER SEASON. NO ISSUES WITH COOLING 13:1 HIGH COMPRESSION ENGINE.

Works, but does not pump as much as it claims. I ended up going with a name brand mechanical pump and cooling isn’t a problem now.

This is the second electric Proform WP I have owned , so I like them. The impeller was spinning backwards compared to the original one I have. Researched impeller pumps on You-tube and determined the original one was spinning in the correct direction, counter-clockwise looking at the front of the impeller. This one was spinning clockwise and not bringing the water up from the bottom connection (actually pushing it down) which cuts the performance way way down. It would still work but with the capacity limited I would have had over heating issues. You can determine the rotation by connecting to 12vDC 10Amp source and looking in the intake hole on the underside, (before installing the hose fitting of course ). You change rotation by changing the blue and black leads around fuse the positive lead.

Haven't installed the Water Pump, trying to decide if I want to send it back due to the paint damages. More of a burgundy than a red.

"Durable powder coating" not sure about that as what you see is straight out of a sealed box, yeah chipped, scratched and on one corner a bit of reaction to something in the packing as its sticky. As you see there is a colour difference between the anodized hose fitting and the "powder coating", i half expected that tbh. I would be interested to find the code of the powder coat colour, as its metalic and has the apearance of a wet spray job.As this made it to the uk in this state, despite perfect packing, i assume its factory related, but hey, you get what you pay for.I think as this is the state on the outside, im going to dismantle it and check the internals, ill then more than likely get it powder coated locally.I was going to get some Proform rocker covers, but upon seeing this, ill look else where. Shame really.
