Adjustable Clarity

I love this clock! I had a Brookstone projector clock and the projector bulb just failed. The Brookstone was so bright I had to cover it at night so I could sleep. This Mesqool has a dimmable display. The lowest setting is perfect at night. The projection is great and is easy to read on my textured ceiling. It was easy to set, is very slim and looks nice on my dresser. Overall for the price I'm very pleased. If it lasts longer than the Brookstone I'll be a happy camper.UPDATE: I had to change this from 5 stars to 1 after some light segments failed to work. I only had the clock for a week and several light segments that displays the time on the face stopped working. The projector still worked, but that's not what I paid for. Amazon did an amazing job of processing my refund in the same day I dropped the box off at UPS with the return label. Kudos to Amazon, but the clock sucked. I'm now using an old clock made by GE that has to be over 20 years old and still works like a champ.UPDATE January 30, 2018 - You're not going to believe this. Apparently companies read these reviews. I was contacted by email by Mesqool and offered a replacement clock. I didn't respond to the email because I thought it might be a scam. Today I received a brand new clock, completely free of charge and not requested by me from this company shipped directly from China along with a personalized letter. Wow! Just Wow! I wish all companies were like this. I plugged it in and it works great. The letter detailed many enhanced features. This company seems to be going out of their way to get our business. If the clock continues to work then it's a 5 star. Customer service is definitely 5-star +.

I owned what has to be the best projection clock ever made. A Timex T736. It projected the time in large and crystal clear numbers on a high ceiling. I was in projection clock heaven. Well after almost a dozen years,.....Alarm 1 stopped working. (Dual alarm clock) Alarm 2 still works. And of course,...Timex decided to stop producing this clock. So I have now purchased several supposedly top of the line or popular projection clocks trying to find a suitable replacement. Thus far,....NOTHING even came close. When I got this clock,...I set the time and the alarm,...then turned on the projection and again said,.....what a waste of money. This clock has to have one of the weakest projectors of all the clocks I purchased. I thought well, this thing will be heading for a spare closet,....or possibly returned to Amazon. Now I am an almost 60 year old man and my eyes are not what they used to be. I now as most people my age wear glasses. And when I take my glasses off,.....the whole world goes blurry. And I learned a long time ago to put my alarm clock out of my reach. This way I have to get up to turn the alarm off. So this clock, with a very weak projector is sitting across my bedroom about 14 foot away. That is when I noticed something special about this clock. It does have the largest and brightest numbers I have ever seen on an alarm clock. As stated earlier,...I have purchased many clocks. Many which advertised they have large numbers,.....but nothing like this. The fact is,....I can easily read the clock from across the room "WITHOUT MY GLASSES ON!" Even in the middle of the night with my sleepy eyes. So to put this review in perspective,......if you want a projection clock just because you want a great projection clock,........look elsewhere. If you want a projection clock as I did because you have a hard time reading the clock at night without your glasses,.......this is your clock. Big, bright display eliminates the need for projection. Now we will just have to wait and see about reliability.

UPDATE: Gotta give credit where it is due. Mesqool reached out to me based on my initial review about the issues I had with the original clock I purchased. They went out of their way to make sure I had a positive experience with their product and sent me a brand new replacement for FREE. There were even delivery issues with UPS with the replacement but they kept on with it til I got the new clock. GREAT customer service! Liz of Mesqool was extremely helpful. You can purchase this product with confidence that the company will make sure to help you in case you encounter any issues.I purchased this product on the basis of the many positive reviews it had on Amazon. I really wanted to like this and was very disappointed with the product. The clock face is a great size and the projection feature was really neat! I also appreciated its reasonable price point and many of the functions the clock had - like being able to dim the brightness of the display, having 2 alarms that you can set separately, etc. Unfortunately, right out of the box, the clock did not work right. For one, the sound function of the clock never worked consistently. On day 1, I tried testing out both the radio and buzzer alarm settings to see how loud they were and could not get a sound off either - even when I set the volume to the highest setting. I then tried the radio independently. I got some sound off that for a few seconds then it went out completely, no sound - again, even with the volume at the highest setting. So I went to bed that night with the radio and alarm both OFF (I made sure to double check this). Inexplicably in the middle of the night, I was awoken at about 3am by a loud static sound coming from the clock. Not sure where it was coming from since, like I said, the radio and alarms were OFF! The volume was all the way down too. I had to completely unplug the clock to get back to sleep. This same incident happened two days later - after I had decided to give the clock another try. The clock was in my living room this time and thankfully this happened earlier on in the night so no one was woken up. In the living room this loud static sound came on - while the radio and alarms were OFF. Again, the only solution was to unplug the clock. It is worth mentioning that I was able to eventually get the radio alarm and alarm buzzer working on day 3 after going through the SAME EXACT steps I did on day 1. I did NOTHING different. So I'm unsure why they worked that worked that time.This inconsistency in the operation of the clock and also the random static outbursts - especially in the middle of the night - left me very disappointed with this product. I had such high hopes for it too. I returned it today.

This is a really good clock/radio. Set it up easy was surprised by the good FM reception. Project time is large and clear. Though I thought there was a problem because time was backwards on ceiling but you had to press projection button again to reverse it.

As described. Inexpensive, does the job needed as a basic alarm clock with a plastic shell and a large, clear display that dims, easy to set, alarm snooze or off, plug in or battery. The alarm beep is not jarring. (Not a clock-radio.)
