These sticks wouldn't really hold up in a more serious large orchestral environment, and are better suited to a student or leaner, but I have used them for smaller ensembles and they work very well in that context. Light in weight and with a head that makes sounds clear and distinct, but not harsh.I have also used them for small multi-setup performances, and they work well as a general mallet across timpani, cymbals and tom-toms etc.Good value for money.
