A rotary barrel tumbler significantly speeds up the natural erosion process of stones by consistently rotating and using abrasive media. The rotary action of the barrel creates a cascading effect, the rocks lift up the sidewall of the barrel and then slide and tumble back down the barrel over the top surface of the other rocks and abrasive media.

Step 1 - Coarse: Initial Grinding & Shaping of Rough Rocks (Tumble 5-10 days*)
Step 2 - Medium: Smoothing the Initial Grind (Tumble 5-10 days*)
Step 3 - Pre-Polish: Prepares Rocks for Final Polish (Tumble 7-10 days*)
Step 4 - Final Polish: Final Polish of Pre-Polished Rock (Tumble 7-10 days*)
* Tumbling time varies by Mohs hardness of the rough rock type, softer rocks require less time.

I received my Wirejewelry Tumbler for Christmas and have not turned off since then, and now here it is March and still no problems. I haven't had to change the belt at all. I am very happy with the quality of the tumbler and highly recommend it.

My wife has always picked up rocks. Everywhere we go she picks up rocks because their pretty, or to "remember" the location. She never remembers where she got the rock. We have rocks all over the house that she's picked up from somewhere and she'll never let me throw them away or put them in the yard. For her birthday I decided if she loves rocks so much, she can do something with them and turn it into a hobby. She LOVES this rock tumbler. I've never had a rock tumbler before, but it seems to be of pretty good quality compared to the ones I've seen at Harbor Freight. It's not quiet enough to put just anywhere, but we keep it in the laundry room in the basement on concrete.My wife is very happy with it, so mission accomplished. Excellent product.

I did not like this product due to the fact that it squeaks a lot and it’s not because it needs to be ordered because of the metal rubbing on the metal. The belt is very cheap. It’s almost like a heavy duty, rubber band, and thickness. It will wear out quickly. The tumblers were great size. The Tumbler handled the tumbling and it’s a good deal except for those product problems. I repaired my old Tumbler and it’s just humming away with no squeaking.

I don’t write reviews much and this is for those who can’t find the dang brass bushings. I found some that are better and best thing you can get them on Amazon. The size is 8mm Bore 12mm OD 8mm Length 2mm Flange Thickness Bronze Bushing. You will have to drill out the hole for the bushings to fit I used a step drill. Go slow and drill till it gets to where you can tap it in with a hammer. ðŸ‘🾠Hope this helps you guys.

Being a greedy rock tumbling enthusiast, a double barrel machine was impossible to resist. I will know better in future.First of all, they sent me a unit that did not sit square, so the tumblers ground the into the lid, and both belts broke right off the bat. (I am sure I read in the description something about lifetime belt warranty.)When I tried to get a refund on the tumbler, I was advised they sell a lot of these machines and sometimes one is faulty…to send it back but keep the tumblersand they would send me a new unit. They did, but all that took time, and tumbling is already a slow process. They did NOT, however, send new belts. I became more frustrated instead of more satisfied. The new tumbler arrived. What good is that without a belt to run it?They did not address the issue with the belts, nor did they send replacements, so I ordered new green belts. Lo and behold they did not fit. I could not find Wire Jewelry Replacement belts on Amazon. I have a fantastic National Geographic tumbler, so I ordered a10-pack of their heavy duty belts. They fit both machines! I got lucky there in the short term. But the double tumbler doesn’t like them. What to do with this $159 double tumbler that squeals like a poor stuck pig, not because it needs oil, but because the belts get loose and no adjustments I can find help, the wheel just grinds them down and its a mess. And the belts are pricey to boot!I am trying to finish this double tumble run by only having about 2 lbs of stones in each barrel, with added media.Tumbling should be fun and relaxing! This experience has been a hassel. I have since gone to the Wire Jewelry website directly and ordered their belts at $5.95 each, plus $3.95 shipping. Fingers crossed.Update: Two new belts broke the day they arrived. What a waste of money.
