I have plantar fasciitis in both feet, and this is the item that helps me most. I first isednin at physical therapy, and was so happy when I found out I could get my own. I can go from not being able to walk, to walking normally in a matter of minutes. I need to stretch first thing in the morning, so I can use this in the kitchen while I am making tea. It only takes a few minutes. There are other stretches you can do without equipment, but I don’t like doing them. I like using this which means I will do it more often. This is the easiest and quickest. The double was more expensive, but well worth it. I hesitated a long time on spending the money on it, but as soon as I got it, I was ecstatic! I felt I got a better stretch immediately. I have a single prostretch which I also love, but the double is better. Perhaps it’s more stable and I stand differently on a double. I am very adept on the single, but maybe I relax differently on this. It also saves time in that I can do both calves at same time.I asked my physical therapist the recommended time to stretch. She told me 30 second hold time. She further explained that they have done studies on holding for 20 seconds and 40 seconds, but 30 seconds is the optimal time for holding any stretch. No more, no less.I looked in the booklet that came with the stretcher and it also says 30 seconds, so I use my iPhone timer and just keep resetting in for every stretch to make sure I get the optimal time. You can use other stretching means, but standing and allowing your heel to drop gradually with your weight behind it is just easier to me than using a yoga strap or stretching against a wall. I don’t have to use any other body part.I work on an airplane, and I carry the single in my travel bag. I can stretch standing up so I don’t need any space at all to do it. I can stretch while waiting in an airport. When I am home, I bring it in my car and stretch at the dog park while my dog is running around, or anytime I have to wait somewhere. I need to stretch throughout the day, so I try to incorporate it into things.I really love this thing!

Just got it. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!I've had plantar fascitis (PF) since I started running sprints a couple years ago, but didn't realize that I had an actual "condition". I just knew my calves were tight, my heels hurt so that it made me limp (esp. when I woke up in the a.m.), and the bottoms of my feet always seemed to be begging for a massage. I only realized I had "plantar fascitis" from reading some Amazon reviews on these stretching devices, and then doing a little research. Too bad Amazon doesn't allow emojis in their reviews...I deserve an eyeroll or smh for that.Maybe I didn't worry about or investigate the pain and limping because it was always very amenable to stretching. If I keep up with my stretching, especially my calves, I go back to normal. No foot symptoms. At least until stuff tightens up real good again.Biggest problem with stretching my calves is I go barefoot or wear flip-flops a lot. Calf stretching is more difficult without rubber-soled shoes that encase the feet...feet slip on all man-made surfaces or off of flip-flops. So I either had to put shoes on to stretch (which is inconvenient to do several times per day), use a towel instead of my long-lost stretch strap (towels are clunky), or skip regular calf stretching (which is what I usually did).I bought this thing on a whim, from a suggestion Amazon made when I finally decided to replace the stretch strap. Oh, and after I figured out from the reviews that I had PF. :rolleyes:My short review: best Christmas present I ever bought myself, hands down. It's perfect for my average 8.5-sized woman's foot, and I don't need to wear shoes to use it. I can hop on anytime. The stretch is very, very effective. Even better than using a strap. I have no doubt that the excellent stretch combined with the convenience will help keep me PF-free.I got the double but am now about to buy a single for when I travel.Highly recommend to anyone who stretches, but especially those plagued with PF!

I used one of these Pro-stretch bi-lateral devices at my physical therapy location. It was a great way to stretch before and after using other equipment. However, I was able to hold onto a rail when mounting/dismounting. So - just a word of caution - before purchasing this for home use, make sure you have a rail, bar... something sturdy to hold onto while using and mounting/dismounting. I do not have anything like this is my apartment and have had to place my hands on a wall while using, and I am VERY careful when mounting/dismounting. The actual device is very good and reasonably priced!

I’ve been having issues with tight Achilles and more recently, plantar fasciitis. I heard some people raving about this on a podcast, so I decided to give it a try. This rocker seems to stretch everything well and is easy to use. Anxious to see if it can help alleviate my issues with more use. Definitely glad I got this.

I bought this to strengthen my calf muscles due to an Achilles tendon repair. It’s the best part of my physiotherapy routine. Very easy to step up onto and it will not slide around while in use.
