Great utility, very good construction, plenty of room. This stick bag works perfectly for me. It's deceptively large- the main stick compartment easily holds 4 pairs of sticks- but it's not a behemoth. There are two other, smaller stick/mallet/hot rods pockets in the upper section of the bag. Then there are additional compartments in the parallel, lower section. On top of that, there are two handy, zipper pouches on the inside of the bag for drum keys, batteries, or, in my case, a case with my in-ear monitor buds. The large, outside zipper compartment can hold plenty more stuff. I really like the lug attachment straps- a very clever design with small, open hooks which perfectly fit the tops of standard lugs. No mashing of fingers/thumb to release a claw clasp from the body of a lug. The straps are heavily elasticized, making them easy to stretch to fit any floor tom (or other drum, for that matter). No adjusting or readjusting of strap lengths necessary. The only very small irritant is that the straps are thin enough to work their way inside the loops of my brushes handles, requiring extrication at the start of most gigs. The main zipper feels sturdy and operates smoothly and comfortably, with a good sized, flat zipper pull. The bag folds very flat and fits easily into my hardware gig bag. Finally, the material seems like it will resist punctures and tears.

Percussion kid required essentials. My son loves this one bc it has a strap he can wear cross body so he has less to carry in hand. It has pockets to fit all the different sticks and mallets.

I needed one of these because my percussion class had a lot of things to be carried around. Right now it's got 6 sets of mallets, a few drum sticks, timpani mallets, a snare drum pad, some pencils, and some folded up music. I used to keep a small note pad in there as well. The bag is really sturdy, I've been using it for 2 semesters and it's still going strong. The bag is very neat and compact, not too bulky to carry around. I highly suggest this to everyone.

Love the bag...it's every thing I need and seemingly decent quality. Plenty of room for plenty of sticks and other junk. Buyer beware - the bag is very big! A whole lot bigger than I thought it would be - even after reading other reviews. No biggie for me as it will just hang off my floor tom 95% of the time as I'm more of a hobby drummer than a gigging drummer.

Great bag. It has strings & hooks onto the lugs of a floor tom which I like. Good size. Durable. Only con to me is the front pocket is too big. I have in ears and I don't really have a place to put them. It has a small pocket on the inside for keys etc. But I cant fit both in-ears and drum keys with ease. I think its a really cool bag that isn't a "name brand" per se. Love the handles and shoulder strap btw! Haha

Bought this for my new little percussionist. He was supposed to have a book big enough for all his mallets/sticks plus his music books. It was hard to find one that would not break the bank. This one fits the bill. Love it. Very durable and roomy.

Great bag! I got it from Amazon Warehouse for a low price and I couldn’t see anything wrong with it. I’m pleased with it, there’s room for all types sticks and mallets, pockets for accessories, a shoulder strap and it looks cool. Thanks

Update: I emailed Protec requesting a replacement under warranty, Protec requested info and pics, provided those and received a replacement bag ~10 days later. 1 star added to my rating due to Protec customer service standing behind their product and warranty - rating bumped from 2 to 3 (4 stars would be an above average product AND above average customer service and warranty).Since buying this bag a year ago, I've carried it by the strap a max of twice every other week. In the main compartment, 4 pair of 5A/5B sticks, 1 pair of rutes, 1 pair of mallets, 1 pair of nylon brushes; and in the pockets, a clutch, a key, and a set of earbuds - nowhere near the "up to 20 pairs" advertised - and by no means heavy. I take care of the products I buy (Yamaha, Sabian, Promark, Vic Firth, Rhythm Tech) because quality isn't inexpensive. This bag's zipper's stitching separated from the bag's body at the top - not the sides or the bottom, which I thought was odd. Maybe it's a design flaw, maybe it's an anomaly. It's still usable, but (un)zipping it is irritating with the material separated across the entire top of the bag now. :(
