I love this this clarinet case's design. It isn't perfect, but the quality is fantastic. It has 4 ways to be carried: a padded double top handle, a side handle, a shoulder strap with non-slip rubbery strips on the back, and backpack straps which hide in their own compartment when not in use. The storage compartment is a good size for accessories. It has 3 penpencil pockets, plus two zipper compartments. The large compartment itself is wide enough for a 3 ring binder (probably 1-2 inch), though a large music folder might be a tight fit. Two caveats to this case, however. One, the clarinet case itself needs to open with the stuff storage compartment on your lapchairetc, so make sure you pack your stuff evenly. Also, the first thing I suggest doing is cutting off the strap which holds the lid of the clarinet case to the base. With the strap, the case will NOT stay open, however cutting that strap off fixes the problem. The metal pieces are good and heavy. I've used Protec cases most of my music life and will definitely continue to prefer this brand in the future.

I have a Yinfente Rosewood Bb Clarinet and it has been a struggle to cases that it. The picture of the case that has a black clarinet it is from protec’s website showing that the storage compartment that’s located where the Clarinet goes is meant to be there and it was made the current model.(Just trying to clear any future questions about it up). I purposely jostled the case and let it tumble from 1 foot off the ground and it was fine a couple reeds in the storage cubby where the clarinet is moved slightly but didn’t touch the clarinet itself. Zippers move smoothly, straps are stable and sturdy, the big shoulder strap (not the backpack straps) has gel lines on it to make it non-slip. If you don’t that part to touch you it is able to be flipped over on the other side (the side that is generally facing outwards doesn’t have the gel). The rings are sturdy, the one downside of this case is that the backpack straps can be uncomfortable on the adjustment buckle (which should expected as this is a clarinet case not a school backpack) you can cut them out and replace them or you tuck the bottom part of the strap into a position where it is more manageable. If you want to put a clip on charm or stuffed animal on you can on the zippers and they shouldn’t be weighted down and unzip the compartments open so long as it is a reasonable weight. You can also put locks on the zipper where the carry handle is so it can lock away any sheet music and accessories. It is a water and weather resistant nylon material so it should stand well against weather. There are no rubber feet so it is able to tip over. The front pocket (I have my hand partially in it) is only 3 inches deep (give or take 1/2 and inch). I would probably put pencil, pen, cork grease, chapstick in there only. ((Be sure to not mix up chapstick and cork grease that could be bad) Sorry musician humor :))

I love this this clarinet case! no case is perfect, but it really lived up to the good reviews. It has many ways to carry it, including the backpack pull out straps you can hide when not using. I thought that it might not be as sturdy, but it really is super sturdy and material is wonderful. The actual compartment that stores the clarinet is very padded, I feel happy with the support and know it won't won't get hurt while in the case. I was down sizing from a previous case to this one, and thought i might feel a bit cramped. However, the bag can fit a three ring binder and everything else I need for class/accessories. A massive band folder would not likely fit though. Overall I was a bit nervous to order a case online, however, The reviews were saying good things and turns out I was right to trust the reviews both in the small complaints and quality opinions. I've used Protec cases most of my music life and will definitely continue to prefer this brand in the future.

For the longest time I was looking for a new case because the case for my Yamaha YCL-650 is set up rather awkwardly but it took my a long time to buy one because I didn't to spend money. This case does it's job in that it holds my clarinet securely and carries a lot of other stuff. It's just still a little bit awkward especially when setting up my clarinet because the lid keeps on falling back down and won't stay up.I would recommend this if you need to carry a lot of things other than your Bb clarinet and if you don't mind having to pop up the lid all the time.

Purchased: End of August, put to use the 2nd week in September, it’s now Nov 2. I was pleased when the case first arrived, however I am very disappointed in the quality. This was a replacement for the heavier Buffet Crampon Woden boxed case. The area where the shoulder strap attaches to the main body of the case has pulled the material out from the seams on each side. We don’t even use all the extra storage in this bag, therefor it’s not heavy and does not explain this issue.

This case is perfect for college musicians on the go. Ordered for my son who is a music education student and here is what he had to say:1. Perfectly hold the instrument in place with a nice fit without being too tight or too loose to hold the instrument pieces in their correct positions.2. The storage space is large enough to hold everything that a musician at any level could possibly need.3. The multiple carrying options make it a versatile option for musicians that need to take their instruments with them on the go, or if they are just transporting from concert to concert.

This was a gift to our HS sophomore, who was still using the square box case from 6th grade. This case is excellent quality, sturdy, mod. weight & has plenty of pockets for music, metronome & other accessories. The interior case is very nice & holds the clarinet pieces securely in place. Very pleased with this product.
