If you're looking for an oboe case, or any other instrument case really, look no more! ProTec cases are amazing!This is not my first protec case and it probably won't be the last! I have one of their older flute cases (the more rounded ones from before they came out with the "Max" line), an alto saxophone Max case, a flute case cover, and now this one. I've always loved them! They protect really well and are lightweight.I love this case. The color is just as shown, mine stays open when I have it sitting on a flat surface (another review said their's didn't), the pockets are wonderful, it came with the name tag, and mine had 2 shoulder straps in the case (I think that was by accident though). The top of the inside isn't molded, but it's very soft and plush, so I know it's holding my oboe in securely and it won't wiggle around like it did in my old hard case.

This case is so great I could probably throw it across the room and still play on my oboe like it was any other day. The amount of ways you can carry it is great. The fact that it also works as a backpack is really helpful when I'm travelling a little farther to reach a concert destination. The case is really slim as long as you don't try to fit super round or wide things in the front pocket, so music and folders work really nicely. It stands upright as long as the front pocket luggage doesn't weigh it down too much. It should fit most oboes, because personally, it fit my fox renard (model 330 to be exact) perfectly. On the inside there is also room for cork grease, but not the chap stick kind. Those can easily fit in the front pockets. The inside also has room for the three reed case that I got with my renard.

Nice case with extra space for stuff, Oboe is well protected. Wish outside pockets were deeper, to hold collapseable music stand or oboe stand

I bought this for my daughter's oboe. It's lighter than her previous case but sturdy. It's been a year of toting back and forth to school, band activities, lessons. It's protected her instrument and held up very well, looks hardly worn. Lots of pockets for her equipment, the outside one being fairly roomy. She likes the purple (middle/high school).

My daughter is in high school and this has been a life saver for her already! It is much lighter than the original hard case and still protects the instrument. the outside pocket is wonderful for a larger case for reeds than the old case would accommodate. The shoulder strap is great as she can put it over her shoulder and carry everything else she needs to at the same time. She loves the purple color and has had many complements on the case!

This is the quality that I've come to expect from Protec - and I have had a half-dozen or so of these over the years. You might notice some wiggle when you insert your oboe - not all instruments are built to the same spec.- but when you zip it up, there will be no wiggle. It's sturdy and convenient, and beats heck out of romping around with a wood or plastic case.

I hated to give up my old case because it was the original case and I was afraid any new one would not have as good a fit. The protect case was an amazingly secure fit and gave me a good feeling about how well it protected my oboe. It also had plenty of room for all of the reeds and accessories I needed.
