About this item

  • Be More Explorative Without Limit and Fear-It is designed to give you confidence in your turns and moves during sports activities such as snowboarding, roller derby, skateboarding, cycling, roller sports, mountain biking, skating, boating, and other extreme activities, protecting your tailbone, hip, thigh and sit bone
  • Premium Flexibility and Protection-Each large pad is composed of many small pads to ensure flexibility and close-fitting movement, rather than big chunks of pad that restrict your range of motion. The pad is separately sewn into the shorts instead of being stuffed in. It does not move around, but sits snug, like you’re not wearing it
  • Quality Material and Considerate Design-240G/M³ lycra as the fabric, which has better elasticity, touch feel, tear-resistance and scratch-resistance than other 180g/M³ fabrics. The waistband is stretchable , with a drawstring to further adjust the tightness or size. The eva pad is 2-4mm thicker than ordinary ones. They are soft enough to be cushy yet thick enough to still be protective . Large mesh fabric for the crotch area, very breathable and extra light, keeps you dry and fresh
  • Low Profile to Fit Under Loose Shorts-You can wear the shorts underneath regular shorts or pants, they are not as bulky and noticeable as others that with big chunks of pad. Ample padding inside, good fit and shape outside
  • New Side Pads, More Protection Area-AVIVOR developed new side pads with a new set of molds to cover a larger protection area, especially the hip and sacrum area. A new set of molds in exchange for a larger protection area and thicker pads is very worthwhile

I wore them for skiing. This was my 1st time skiing and I'm 42 years old. I didn't want to hurt my tailbone as I recently had an injury. I fell A LOT while skiing on my tailbone and NEVER hurt my butt!!! They worked so well, I bought my son (snowboarder) a pair. To ensure you don't have a tailbone injury, don't delay, go buy them!

The reason I sait they were small is that I wear a 34-36 waist (depends on brand, type, etc.) and these XXL fit OK. I would have liked to have them to be a bit tighter, but they stay put and provide the protection I need. I use them for ski racing so the extra padding doesn't really show (I do not wear a skin suit...), but if you use them with tight pants, they would. Which is probably not a big deal, but just saying. They are also pretty long, only a few inches above the knees. You can't really wear them without some shorts or pants to cover them - you could but it would look odd.All in all I think these are well designed padded shorts that will protect you well. I think they are definitely worth the price and are a good value.

Weirdly I usually wear size medium in pants, but because my hips are a little larger, I needed a size XL! So definitely get ready to mess around with sizing if you are not sure of your size.If you are a skinny male, maybe these tailbone protector pads will fit true to size. But for girls you may want to go up a size, or two.No one is going to notice these under some sweatpants also. Not that anyone cares anyway if you are wearing pads. Whatever, you will be able to skate or snowboard longer without serious injury. Nothing not cool about that.Oh yea these will work for snowboarding as well as skateboarding as those are the two uses that I have been putting these pads through. The protection is as good as the triple 8 pads. So it’s decent, just watch the gap areas if you are skateboarding. The skateboard can hit you in between some of the pads. But this isn’t to protect you from the board, the padding is to stop you from spending the rest of your life sitting uncomfortably. And in that regard, it is worth it for the price.

I have several of similar protective shorts and this one is my favorite.I skate inline skate about 40 miles a week, normally on the street and falling is expected.some OTHER shorts , the padding are either too soft/hard that it doesn't work and ended up in the trash. This one strikes a good balance, it's hardness/softness is just right that it will take most of the impact so my bone doesn't take that hit.( I am 5.10 , 210lbs. ) wore size XXL-large, fit slightly lose, but I wanted that. There are mesh fabric which helps with moisture removal, people with bigger thighs sure will understand / appreciate that. All seams looks good. no missing thread.the material is thin enough to be comfortable but not too thin to break if you have to pull on it hard.the material is stretchy as well.I consider this pants as safety gear and will replace it once a year ( due to normal and tear ) so get something nice that fit you is more important then buying some name brad that doesn't fit right.

My brother is a skier. He likes these shorts. They fit well and have thick protective pads. Made of high quality materials. He is going to use them for skating too. I’m sure his butt area will be ok.

This pair of shorts provide great protection for my first ski lession. It has very thick yet light weight protection all around you. It has padding at the hip, and also on both sides, which I found extremely useful. I did fall a few times during skiing but it's no problem with this. Highly recommand for anyone learning to snowboard or ski.

This was exactly what I was looking for. It fits great and offers me the protection that I had been looking for. It's soft and protects without being too rigid and it doesn't make it hard to move at all.

Provided ZERO protection. Extremely wrong and dangerous product description. I'm in extreme pain after a fall while wearing these shorts, didn't protect my tailbone at all.

I play old timers shinny hockey and bought these to prevent bruising or injury to my hips if I fell. Have worn them now several times and they do their job. Also, I ordered my size and they fit like a glove. Don't even know they're on until you sit on the players bench. Then you can feel the extra padding on the tail bone. I highly reccomend them.

Saved my butt a few times on the run today. Started to learn how to snowboard. The wife was extremely adamant that I buy padding to protect my lower body when falling backwards.I tried toughing it out for the first few runs by not wearing the padding, but decided later to use it and immediately felt the difference. Wearing the padding helped absorb most of the impact when falling and made me feel much more comfortable knowing that I was protected!Overall the padding is comfortable, offers stretch to fit tightly and doesn’t chafe.Definitely recommended for anyone trying snowboarding (or skiing) and looking for some protection. Can’t speak to its performance in other sports though.

You definitely feel these but better than getting injured. Not comfortable, feels like having a bony hand in your underwear. Not the lowest profile but can fit under my normal loose clothing. Stands up to repeated washings. Have not hurt my hip yet. I use this for skating transition and also snowkate hillbombs.

This butt pad is pretty decent for snowboarding. I’d say it’s good for beginners but not sure if it can withstand a hard fall. Last year while snowboarding I tripped while coming off the chair lift and really hurt my tailbone (thankfully no damage) this incident prompted me to buy a butt pad. I chose this one because of the reviews and also the price. It’s pretty decent!I’ve used it only a couple times under my snow pants and it does the job just right! Something is better than nothing :)
