How wonderful to run across this telescope cover just after we received a telescope that had no case or cover. We were worried how we would protect it.The cover is thick and feels lightly padded. It is large enough to cover the body of the telescope as well as the tripod legs. A drawstring at the bottom secures the cover around the tripod. The reflective exterior will not only protect the telescope from heat, but it also makes it easy to see in a dark space.Although it would easily allow the tripod base to stay fully deployed I chose to fold the legs and used the ends of the drawstring to bind the legs together. I plan on storing it in our closet this way to protect it from dust and damage. When we use it, taking the cover off will be easy and we can also easily cover it anytime it is set up but we are not using it.

Excellent dust/ moisture/ heat barrier! Very thin and pliable while remaining durable. Make sure to fully unfold and open up the cover before sliding over your telescope setup. This fit perfectly on an 8†SCT with a 2†diagonal/ Barlow/ eyepiece all assembled with the orginal guide scope. The cover can definitely fit something at least a 10â€SCT with some room to spare, even in the full horizontal position. The cover goes down to about where the tension knobs are on the tripod, leaving no ability to pull the drawstring tight if draped this way. If you wish to pull the drawstring, just stop where the telescope arm attaches to the tube.Solid stitching on my received example along with the ability to neatly and compactly store folded up taking up very little space!
