I used these locks for my gun cabinet, and they work well. Installation was fairly easy, but getting the sizing right took some trial and error. Once in place, they do the job as expected. Solid product overall, just be prepared to spend some time adjusting them for the perfect fit.

One lock was defective. One of the lock pins was loose in the bag. 2 worked perfect and the other two were difficult to install. The black powder coat scratches easily. I ended up buying and installing a chrome 4 pack.

The original lock on our custom copper mailbox broke after 20 years. Tried contacting the manufacturer of the mailbox but they went out of business. I couldn’t find a replacement at any local hardware store (Ace, Lowes or Home Depot) and ended up getting an “almost perfect†one for $30 at a local locksmith. Not being happy with almost perfect I thought I’d try a few different locks off Amazon. Liked that this one was black and used a barrel key. Installed it last night and I am 100% happy with it and at almost 1/3rd the price of the almost perfect one from the locksmith. Even better this came with 2 locks and 4 keys. So in 20 years when this one breaks I’ll have a spare.
