I used this to convert a Harbor Freight 90A AC Flux core welder to DC like a couple of the other reviewers.Mine made it through about a half a roll of wire. Then it shorted out. Lasted two months.

This has worked good for my application of converting an AC welder to DC. The only problem was fitting the heat sink into the space provided as it is very large.
