Step 1: Please hold the valve with thumb and forefinger knuckle.
Step 2: Please hold the two flat sides of the duckbill near the base and pull sideways.
Please DO NOT pull the thin tips of duckbill.

If you are thinking about switching to duck bill valves I old highly recommend. these ones are great quality and lasted me over a month, I just replaced them to keep up with quality of pumps but there were still working great after being used very regularly

Great replacement part for Spectra pump. Works just as perfect as the original duck bills. Great price and comes with a nice little plastic case.

These valves are much better than the ones I recwived with the og Spectra pump. A set lasts for around 5 weeks. I only pump 2-3 times a day. I am not sure how some of them use it for about 3 months. For me the valves open and starts spraying the milk upwards by the end of a month.

When you get new duckbills, they should be able to hold water or milk in them without dripping, these don't do that, they have a steady stream coming out when tested. When I used them with my spectra, I can tell I'm producing less milk

I buy these separately because they are stronger and more durable than the ones that come with the valves that aeroflow sends me through insurance.

Bought these to replace the standard Motif Luna parts. Seem to last a little longer and be slightly more durable than the originals that came with the pump. Didn't notice a difference in output between using the original or these replacements. So for the price would buy these again when I need to swap them out again.
