Just bought this to replace the Leviton branded punch-down tool I used to own, but lost recently. I must say, that this is basically the EXACT same tool, except it has the little wirepuller & flat blade pull outs on the sides. It makes good terminations, and the impact feature is always nice to have, though I tend to only use it on the Low setting. By the way, this cost me approximately 1/3rd of the price of my Leviton tool and performs JUST AS WELL.

I just had one junction box to do, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money, but I wanted to do it right. This punchdown did a great job connecting and cutting the excess off. I only had to redo one wire, which was easy with the built-in hook. The bit stays firm in place but is very easy to remove. I'd still use this if I were semi professional or doing a big project.

So at the end of the day the tool works and has a gDecent quality to it however there are a couple of flaws to the design compared to other manufacturers.1) The blade sits in the tool parallel with the tool and not perpendicular like traditional punch down tools.2) Both sides of the tool are labeled with “cut” however because of the way the blade sits in the tool, neither of those sides actually cut.Other than these 2 items, the tool worked great.

For the price this is as good as a pro tool from what I can tell. I haven't used it much so I ll update again if it shows and bad premature ware. Blades look to be good quality and the blades are 10 dollars by them selves so this is a great bargain.I lost my 66 blades and needed a nother blade but found this for 17 dollars and got both blades and the handle as well. This one even comes with a wire pick where some don't

The tool does not come with 2 blades but only 1. It also did not include the wire stripper as shown. So the description of this package is quite misleading. The punch down tool seems to work ok, but only time will tell.

Unable to set the tension, tool just spins back down to low impact. The tool does not come with 2 blades but only 1, so the description & photo of this kit is misleading. The punch down tool only works by pushing hard after low impact and moving handle in 360º degrees to ensure wires actually get pushed into place.
