I have just started painting the exterior of my house. I have used 3/8 nap in the past and decided to try the 1/2 nap. I have divided my house into 8 sections and have completed 3 at this point. I love these Purdy roller covers. These covers apply the paint evenly and because you can load up more paint than lesser naps more of the wall is painted. Less time rolling paint. Because these covers hold more paint than other covers, I use a multi-tool which has a curved edge to scrape off paint at the end of the day. Quite a savings!!UPDATE 11/10/2016I have finished painting my house. These covers were great. Actually I used only one of these covers because they are well made and I took time to care for the one I used between paint sessions - once a week usually. This cover is the 1/2 inch nap. It held up well and is ready for the next job. I took care of it by thoroughly washing it and then wrapping it in layers of paper towels. Once finished, I stood the cover on its circular end to ensure its round shape. There were a few times when I knew I'd be painting the next day or for 2 or 3 consecutive days. Then I would wrap the cover in wax paper and then Saran Wrap and store the cover in the refrigerator overnight - again standing it on its circular end so the cover would not have a flat part. Time saver!! The cover was ready to go the next morning..I highly recommend Purdy covers with 1/2 nap.

These rollers are excellent, have minimal to no particulates, and hold a lot of paint which makes any paint job easier.

I love these mini rollers! I've tried several different brands of rollers and these are my favorite. I was looking for a roller that wouldn't leave lint or the orange peel texture when painting my cabinets and this one it the winner!

Good value, little to no shedding right out of the wrapper, absorbs and releases paint consistently. I find they clean really well, however I still prefer to start a room with a brand new roller cover regardless. I save the cleaned/used ones for things like primer coats. No complaints. Very good tool for the job.

These are very good. I've tried multiple 1/4 nap rollers, these are best, no shedding, no unevenness, works very well for painting smooth surfaces.

Purdy is worth the price. Not a lot of lint to clean before using, leaves smooth paint coat and easy to clean so you can use them over and over.

Pay attention, these are 9 in rollers, most roller handle are for 9.5 in rollers. (made the mistake... i thought rollers were all standard sizes)

These were very cheap, and the reviews looked good so I bought 3 packs of 3 to start a paint job. After I started using the first roller I realized my regulars from the hardware store would have been a better choice for a few more dollars, BUT, read the rest of this review and I found something out to make them work decent.At first, I noticed they were smaller than the roller I had, but that was not really an issue. They seem to change the sizes all the time to make you buy more but that gap didn't really cause any grief as I use a brush when I get to the edge anywys.First we'll go with the negatives.By the end of doing a kitchen ceiling they were staring to look like they were in rough shape, and if I wanted a very smooth finish these would not be a good choice. As I wanted thick paint it wasn't too bad.These rollers are a one time use. I often use the put it in the fridge and do another coat trick, but that was a no go as they started leaving fuzz all over the place.These rollers use ALOT of paint. I was using paint and primer in one which caused this to be an expensive job. I'd get a smaller nap next time as they were VERY absorbant.Now, for an interesting fact. I had an older can of CHEAP paint and these rollers worked fantastic with them. it didn't hold quite as much and they seemed to last way longer. So if you were going to bang off a basement or something as cheap as you can, these would be fantastic for the job. For high end paints in a very visible area, spend the extra cash.

These rollers are the worst rollers i have ever bought .Holds way to much paint and drips on floor and the fibers spread away from roller .Not a good product to buy and i am very disappointed in this name brand

It is short to fit to standard 9 1/2†roller holder. Otherwise its ok.

Only 9†instead of the standard 9 1/2â€. My fault for not checking I guess, Though I’m not sure why Purdy had to be different with their roller size.
