Alternative Imagination Beehive Votive Candles are hand-crafted in small batches with the finest ethically sourced wax. We work with ethical bee farms and use only pure, natural beeswax filtered using a chemical-free filtration system that leaves the beeswax with its naturally sweet, honey-like aroma, and beautiful yellow coloring. Our wicks are made of natural cotton and are metal-free!
Please note: Because your candle is a natural product, the color and aroma can vary due to what type of flowers the bees are visiting.

Did You Know?
Not all wax is created equal! It takes around 50 pounds of honey to produce 1 pound of beeswax. That 1 pound of wax is then reduced down even further, as it is filtered and debris is removed. At Alternative Imagination, we only use the cleanest, purest, wax from the filtration process to make our candles.
Adorable Size
Each candle is about 2" in diameter at the base and 2" tall. The handmade nature of our candles means that the size of each votive may differ by a few millimeters. Each candle burns for approximately 6-7 hours.
How to Burn Votive Candles
Votives burn best when placed in an appropriately sized holder in a draft-free spot. Keep the wick trimmed to about 1/4” in length and let the candle burn for at least an hour before extinguishing. Always practice good fire safety and never leave a burning candle unattended.
Benefits of Beeswax Candles
Beeswax burns cleaner than any natural wax! It’s the only natural substance that emits negative ions when burned. These negative ions draw out toxins, dust, pollen, mold, and mildew from the air. Because we use natural cotton wicks and no additives, our candles produce little to no soot! This is great news for anyone with sensitivities to candles.

Because of mixed reviews of the beehive shaped votives, I ordered three different styles. These are the only ones that are actually made from beeswax. My family keeps bees. It’s easy to spot, smell and feel the difference between beeswax and candle wax. These smell wonderful and will be a sweet addition to the bee themed gift bags for my son’s rehearsal dinner. Everyone is also getting a jar of our honey.

I really purchased this candle for my pooh bear theme baby shower. It was sooo adorable. It’s a little heavy and it pure beeswax. I ended up using it as it’s real purpose after the party and the candle burns slow and lasted a while!

So cute and lasts a few hours. It has a neutral smell but cancels out other scents so good for bathrooms or just for the aesthetic
