This product works as described and does wonders for filtering the whole house's water supply. Our in-line filtration system was put in a few years ago and this is the best filter I have found thus far that will remove the sediment and red mud and rust coloration from the water making the water fresh, drinkable and useable in the home. We have to change our filter monthly, and this filter makes it longer than a month which greatly helps our spending on replacement filters.

PUREPLUS 5 Micron 4.5" x 10" Whole House String Wound Sediment Filter for Well WaterI picked up this 2 pack as it was past time to replace our existing filter and the specs matched the filter I normally buy. Mainly because I didn't feel like making the trip out to the Big Box store that sells filters as the weather here was pretty nasty at the time with winter and expected to continue a few days. So I gave this a shot.The fit was perfect and it sat well in the housing. The filter appeared to be wound as tight as the one we had been using. The sizing and specs all matched up or were exceeded and the price was better too. Plus we have two one for the replacement in about 6 months. After about a month of use our water continues to be crystal clear with no issues. No rust or sediment was seen in the basement sink which doesn't have a faucet filter so the sediment filter is doing it's job.
