If you're looking for a complete dog food, this is it. I have the pickiest dog ever. I promise. I had previously only found 1 food that she would "mostly" eat. But, I found out from a Vet that grain free food is really bad for dogs' hearts, despite what companies are advertising. It's the fad because "people" food should be lower carbs, but it's not great for dogs. So, I was recommended this by a Vet as compromise for good food that is good for the dog and not boutique. Oh...and my picky dog loves it. The kibble is soft, so ideal for older dogs that may have trouble eating harder kibble.

I have a very picky boy that is almost 14 and I could never find a dry food he would eat for any length of time until now. I was using probiotics because he was also having gastric issues. Someone abandoned three puppies so now we have four to feed. I prefer to spend my money on something good instead of going to the vet. I was told what goes in comes out. I see a terrific difference with the dogs eating this and I no longer have to buy separate probiotics which was not cheap. I’m on a fixed income. The food is not cheap, but neither is the vetI just bought it for the cats as well. The formula appears similar for them and again what a difference my only problem is they want to constantly eat it lol it must be really yummy. I would rather eat oatmeal all the time if it meant my pets can eat this. They are worth it to me. I have big muscular cats, not puffy and fat from other foods with byproducts. I want my fur babies with me for as long as I can so this is worth it.

We switched to this dog food because it came highly recommended by our wonderful vet. I started noticing positive changes in our dogs within the first week. We have a 5 year old basset hound and a 10 year old cur mix, and they both absolutely love this food. This was a relief because one of them can be a bit picky, and both have sensitive stomachs.Since switching to Purina Pro, I’ve observed several significant improvements in both of them. Within a few weeks, they appeared healthier overall, with a noticeable increase in their energy levels. I believe this is because they are now getting the full range of nutrients they need to be happy, healthy pups—nutrients that aren't typically found in most dry dog foods.One of the most important improvements I noticed is their consistency with bowel movements. It used to vary from day to day between the two of them, but now their overall gut health has become much better and more predictable. This consistency allows me to easily identify and monitor any abnormalities so that if something is wrong or they aren’t feeling well, I can address the issue quickly. Previously, it was challenging to determine if something was wrong because their digestive health varied from day to day, along with their gas and bowel movements.I can't recommend this food enough! My dogs are literally like my children, so I have very high expectations for everything that involves them—even the smallest details. So its safe to say, if my dogs are consuming this food and I’m satisfied enough to come here and write this positive review, which has somehow turned into a novel, then you should absolutely be feeding this to your pups. They deserve it and it’s worth every penny.-The only negative point worth mentioning is that the salmon and rice flavor has a bit of a pungent smell. If you're sensitive to odors, you might want to choose a different flavor. It hasn't been an issue for anyone in my house, but my best friend had to switch flavors while she was pregnant, so I thought it was worth mentioning.

The dog food was early, which was very nice. Its a huge bag full of food. My dogs love it. Our golden retriever has a very sensitive stomach and has allergies to a lot of other dog foods. He is doing very well on it. No puking or rashes. His coat is coming back with shin. My other dog was having really bad dry sink and her coat was very dry, doll and hair falling out. Since she has been on this dog food, her coat is coming back with shin and the hair is growing back. Slowly less dandruff. I am very happy with this good food. I would definitely ordering this brand again.
