Spring arrived, and after this year’s cold winter, I noticed some yellow patches on my lawn that needed reseeding. The Push Spike Aerator has been a fantastic tool for prepping the soil, ensuring better seed growth. Its wide spike drum covers a large area with each pass, while the steel spikes penetrate the ground efficiently, without harming the grass. One of the features I appreciate most is the four-wheel design, which makes maneuvering effortless, even on uneven or rough terrain. The 45-inch handle offers excellent leverage, making it easy to push and pull without excessive strain. Despite its sturdy, well-built construction, it remains lightweight enough for regular use.

Difficult to push through good grass. Have to get the handle down pretty low to cut through. I ended up pulling it. Doesn't go as deep, but did a good job..

I upgraded from a Yard Butler ID-6C manual lawn corer to a push spike aerator, and I'm mostly pleased with the change. The Yard Butler, while reliable, only made two holes at a time. This new aerator, when weighted down, creates many holes much more quickly and efficiently, especially in soft, moist grass. As the pictures show, it's significantly faster at aerating my lawn.However, the increased efficiency comes with a safety concern: the spikes are extremely sharp. Safe storage and careful assembly are essential. Overall, it's a highly effective tool for aerating, but caution is definitely warranted due to its sharp points.
