I have been using this pitcher for a while now and it is definitely worth the money. The handle is sturdy and since it is borosilicate glass I can poor boiling water right into it to make iced tea. No harmful plasticizers.I want to mention the lid. There are three positions the lid can be in . Air tight, strainer and open pour. How cool is that? It does fit tightly but I just pull up while turning and it hasn’t been a problem .Lastly, it is pretty enough to use at the table with guests, even if it is a more formal setting.

I waited a while to write this review as I wanted to have time to use this pitcher daily and see how it does. So far, it's exactly what we were looking for. We brew loose leaf tea daily and this works excellent for this purpose. No more messing around with little tea ball holding devices! The lid has two openings. One has no strainer on it and is good when you don't need to strain loose tea. The other opening on the lid has little dot-like openings to let the fluid out, but the loose tea stays in the pitcher. The lid stays put and does not slip around. We could not be happier with this pitcher. It's perfect for us, and I hope we don't manage to break it somehow. I put the pitcher in the dishwasher when needed, on the bottom rack and make sure it has enough room in there so nothing other d/w occupant will bang into it. So far, this is working out well. No damage to date. It seems to hold up well to the high d/w temps and the harsh detergent use in a d/w. The lid, I put on the top rack. I use an electric kettle to boil water and I pour that into this pitcher--so far, no shatters. The glass holds the heat well if I put the lid on. I could go on and on about this pitcher. Bottom line, we like this very much and we'll be sad if it falls out of production and we have to go back to the old way of brewing our loose lea tea. It's made our daily routine a bit easier. I bought two and they are in constant use. Shipping was good and speedy too. Btw, it comes in a nice gift wrapping ready box.UPDATE: May 2020 We still love these pitchers. They are holding up very well. They still look as good as when we took them out of the box. Love love love!! Used daily and have many d/w cycles to their name.

I make Ice Tea on a regular basis and for years have been hauling out a big heavy pot and then store the tea in a plastic pitcher in the fridge. The tea always stained my good cookware and the name brand plastic pitcher. I think the plastic tainted the tea as well. I originally set out to buy an Ice Tea Maker, but the reviews on the glass were not very positive. I went this route instead and bought an Electric kettle(HadinEEon) and this Pykal glass pitcher. The product arrived promptly. It was very well packaged and had clear instructions including thorough photos of how to use the product and also recipes. The glass pitcher has a nice design to it including the diamond pattern. I like that it holds a full 72 ounces but the design is streamlined and not bulky looking. The lid is excellent quality and is tight fitting with a stainless steel top. I followed the instructions and have had no issues. The pitcher is easy to get in and out of the refridgerator. It is not heavy to lift but of good sound solid instruction for handling boiling water for tea. The design of the handle is well done and easy to use. I noticed that the tea tastes dramatically better and tastes brighter being in a glass pitcher vs. my old plastic one. The pitcher is easy to clean and I like that they included a brush. The company that sells it seems to be committed to customer service. I have used this pitcher several times now and am very happy. A quality product and I highly recommend it.

I drink alkaline water. Every morning, I fill a jug of alkaline water and use it throughout the day. For years, I kept a lackluster plastic jug on my beautiful kitchen breakfast bar. It worked fine and all ... but one day, I decided that it's time for an upgrade. So I headed on over to Amazon and had a look. And there it was. The stunning "Pykal Glass Water Pitcher with Diamond Pattern and Tight Stainless Lid". ...Just what the Dr. ordered I thought. ...Well let me tell you, it is everything as stated—and then some! Nicely detailed, heavy, but not too heavy, elegant—a real class act! The caveat however is that when you put it down, do it gently! I learned this the hard way!...I had been using this gem daily - and nonchalantly man-handling it. ...Needless to say, I have much more respect for it now. What happened about 3 or 4 months out, is that it formed a tiny hairline crack at the base, and started leaking. When I contacted the manufacturer though, they immediately sent out a free replacement - and followed up with a nice email to assure my customer satisfaction. ...Now THAT is the way to keep customers happy!...Nowadays, I keep it on a small pad (a heat pad), and every time I put it down, I do it with care. ...But all that said, I would buy it again! And I never miss an opportunity to share my delight with this product and the company behind it to anyone who asks about my special jug. This beautiful, upscale Jug is now a permanent fixture in my home and I highly recommend that you go ahead and invest in this great product and special company. You will not regret it.

I bought this pitcher in 2021 and use it all the time- it's lightweight but strong and it came with a great cleaning sponge. Looks really nice on the table as well. My one problem has been the lid. When I purchased it there were some reviews about older models having trouble with the lid staying on; my issue has always been getting the lid to come off! It was so tight that when you tried to remove it it wouldn't release its suction so I was always worried about it breaking or dropping it while trying to wrestle the lid off (and it wasn't just me- everyone in the family had trouble with this!) A few months ago I went to refill the pitcher, had the usual trouble, and the lid separated into 2 pieces! I have to say this is a disappointment, as part of the reason I bought it was to keep it in the fridge and I wanted a lid!

This isn't regular glass even if you look at the quality of this pitcher it's top quality stuff. I bought 5 already and honestly I can't complain, you get what you pay for and this is totally worth it. 10/10 my parents loved them so thank you for this pitcher, definitely would buy again

Upon looking at this jug/pitcher, I wasn’t sure it could live up to its claims. But indeed it does.It’s sleek design with diamond pattern graces any environment from picnic to fine dining and it has a delicate touch as well appearance.I thought I would put it through it paces and claims by filling it with cold water from the tap and putting it on our gas hob, leaving the lid off of course. Absolutely unbelievable, it boiled the water without any problem and it didn’t take long because of the fabric it’s made out of. It is just like test tube glass, that’s the nearest way I can explain it and just as tough.I am more than satisfied with this purchase, the way it was packed in a very nice box and the nifty sponge on a stick that is supplied with it. The price was truly amazing for this quality and design.I would highly recommend it for whatever dining occasion you may have in mind or just a daily jug.It now has pride of place in our glass cabinet waiting for its next use. Most probably Christmas 🎄.
