I recently installed this sub in a 2002 Jeep TJ to replace the factory sub. The stock sub had been out for years. This review is from the perspective of the casual music listener. I was basically looking to restore the low end of my audio. What it is:A super inexpensive subwoofer to restore a factory type listening experience. It handles well in those conditions, and I highly recommend it.It has a good build and feels somewhat durable. What it is not:This is not a large sounding sub or a deep bass producing sub for someone that wants everyone within the vehicle to feel their music. If you want to pull your Jeep up to the beach/block party and be the sole boom box for said event, this sub is probably not for you. But, if that describes you, you are probably not looking at $18 subwoofers. In general:There is simply not anything else in this price range that is going to perform any better. It was $18 and arrived at my house the next day. If the thing only lasts a year or two, I’d purchase another one. I could almost buy 5 of these before I reached the cost of other replacement subs for my vehicle. For the Jeep TJ owners:If you need to replace the factory sub and plan on using the factory amp, this seems like a super simple choice. I know of two other replacement subs— only one real one that requires no modifications. They are 4 and 5 times as much as this sub. This is a dual voice coil 4ohm sub. That’s the same specs as the factory sub. The biggest difference is that you will need to drill new screw holes, as this speaker is slightly smaller than the factory sub (6.5 vs the factory 6.75). This sub is also slightly deeper than the stock sub. So I used a pair of pliers to snap off pieces inside the rear of the stock sub compartment. There are videos online showing this action. There are also videos showing the removal of the factory sub console compartment. The whole process took me less than an hour from start to finish. If I had to do it again, it could probably be accomplished in 20mins.

I actually bought this to replace the subwoofer speaker in my OG Klipsch Promedia 2.1's. The original sub in the Klipsch was showing its age in how the cone material disintegrated. Not bad for a sound system that's seen daily use since the early 2000's!After doing some research I decided to give this one a go. I have a new amplifier that drives harder than the stock internal Klipsch amp, so I wanted something that could definitely handle it.Installing the sub is as straightforward as any other speaker:1. remove the old and busted speaker.2. mount the new one.3. solder the wires to the connectors.4. plug everything up and let it rip!For a subwoofer of this size I would say this thing really pounds! It does not slouch when it comes to driving the bass. In fact I am now looking at putting a custom backplate on the sub-box because it's trying to shove air out of every crevice in the back, creating a whistling sound when it hits. This is NOT the fault of the product itself, but from my own shoddy workmanship. Had I taken more care to properly re-seal the box after modifying it to work with my amp, this would be a non-issue.The fit inside the Klipsch box is almost perfect: the only caveat I can offer is that getting the speaker grill back on won't happen without some work. Unlike the unit everyone is routing as a direct replacement, this one does not provide the tight fit necessary to simply just squeeze the grill back into place. For me this is a non issue because I keep the unit pointed away from anything that can hit it. But for someone else doing this same thing this may be a deal breaker. All in all I am still happy with the product itself. Maybe someday I'll give it its own custom box, properly done this time, and see just what it really can do. I am already very content with it as is.

Perfect for my diy sub box build. Can wire it up to 8ohm and use my 2.1 amp board with 100w and I get some nice bass. Not shake your window bass but just enough to make it sound tight.

Works great as a replacement for the 2004 jeep tj factory sub woofer in the console, takes a little modification but less than an hour of work. A good cheap alternative to the Quadratec plug n play set up.

Description says can handle 300 watts rms. I use an app that put out 125 watts. Lower the bass On the radio from 12+ to 2+. And Barely got to 3/4. You play for good 30 seconds. And then blew out. I don't recommend this unless you're only gonna use it for a lease fifty watts armless. I don't recommend this unless you're only gonna use it for a lease 50 watts rms. Sound a good for a little while.

If you're looking to replace your factory subwoofer, this is a great, economical alternative. Some minor modifications will be needed to the factory housing. The factory speaker is a DVC, and so this is not a difficult swap (plug and play) . The wire connectors need to be widened out with a screw driver. Bass is not super deep, but clear enough with little factory amplifier. Doesn't rumble so much as add fullness and depth to the overall sound, which is nice to have in a Wrangler. The price is great for what you get. Time is needed to test the longevity of the speaker.

I have a Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 that the subwoofers foam surround had finally given out. This sub matched the TS Parameters closer than any other I found. The Dual voice coil is nice, as it give you the option to run in either 4 ohm or 8 ohm. Essentially giving you a choice between efficiency or more volume. The Materials feel very nice and sturdy for the price point, and the measurements listed match near exactly to real life. I was very impressed with this little sub for $20. Give it a decent enclosure and around 100-200w and you will be blown away with what you can get out of it.

à ce prix j'en ai pris 2 pour un caisson auto, et vraiment pas déçu. bon son pour la taille. ne pas s'attendre non plus à une basse du futur, mais ça fait le boulot pour un son correct.

The speaker rattles badly even in a proper load of 2Ω or 4Ω or 8Ω with the minimum volume level & bass. This subwoofer ruin my mood. I am pretty sure, this is a defective pics delivered to me.
