Perfect condition 1L Pyrex Narrow Mouth Erlenmeyer Flask, looked like good enough glass for child's science set. Looks just like pic, easy to read measurements and pyrex product marked. Tightly boxed inside it's own box before being put into another box for shipment, so it got here completely safe and scuff free. The rim was nice and thick glass, though the lower wide part seemed on the thinner side but due to shape couldn't really accurately tell so as long as it holds up I will assume it is just as thick.

I was impressed to see that this is a true "PYREX" Made in Germany flask of lab quality. My flask also looked brand new. There are no imperfections, cracks, or bubbles in the glass and the rim is very thick. I have no worries about using this over a gas flame, it should hold up to lots of use unlike cheaper flasks that are made in China.

The graduations on the side are excellent and last. The rim is thick and lends itself to a bit of abuse when pouring and placing stoppers in it. This beaker takes a #9 stopper and it would be nice if it came with one. I am very satisfied with the quality of this beaker.

This is a product that is also artwork. Very concentric. No bubbles or inclusions as seen in other lower cost glass work. Heavy wall and extra thick rim. Although a polariscope is not very sensitive on this shape the flask looks featureless. Some attention must have been paid to annealing. Some economy beakers looked scary in the polariscope so German engineering is still live and well. If significant heating or cooling is in your intentions this is a flask you should consider.

Erlenmeyer flask was PYREX brand and is great quality. I prefer PYREX and have a lot of experience with that brand since I work in a lab. I'd rather pay more and get a more stout flask than less and get one that is more fragile. I'm using it to make yeast starters for my homebrew on a stir plate and I've haven't had any troubles so far.

On a magnetic stirring plate this flask works very well. I've made any batches of the C60 solution.

I bought this to use for yeast starters in my home brewing activities. The flask is nice, thick glass. It seems well made and has stood up to several yeast starter cultures already. I bought it to replace a similar flask that cracked when it fell on its side on the kitchen counter (it didn't even fall that hard...so I was really disappointed). I think the other flask was an inferior brand, so this time I decided to go with a good genuine Pyrex one. So far, I'm very happy with it. It's a good size and works well. I've used it successfully with a magnetic stirrer, too, despite its thickness.
