Overall I think this is a great gift and my 7 year old granddaughter fit it nicely. The only drawback is that the foot pedals are underneath the body of the horse, hard to reach and, if she didn't have such long legs, I don't think she could have reached them. If they had some extensions on them so they jutted out to the sides of the horse from the underside, it would be more comfortable for her to ride.

1. There was too much trouble for child to get horse to move. After numerous times, many days of explaining and demonstrating how to get horse to move child unable to get movement on her own. Our grandchild is high level functioning autistic child. Even she could not get horse to move easily.2. Exorbitant cost to return item borders on usury vs. return fees. Return cost so high that I will not purchase any more items from this company.3. Due to issues with use and return fees, I will no longer use Amazon for purchase of items for our special needs grandchild. This purchase serves as a HUGE warning that problems with use and exorbitant return fees makes purchases for our grandchild without guarantees is similar to a gut punch.

I bought this for my 6 year old granddaughter. She has the smaller one of another brand that is easy to move while riding. We have made all the adjustments to the horse but it still is not moving smoothly. Not as well made.

Why not 5? The stuffing isn't perfect, he's a little lopsided, doesn't turn tightly. Great bedroom decoration, kids also love to play on it. They also love putting the littles
