Spikes are expensive or some reason - but these are pretty reasonable. You get 2. They aren't the most fancy things, but they work well and are a decent price.

Originally my husband thought I was being silly getting anchors for our rain chains - but then he actually hooked them up and decided maybe I wasn't as silly because they no longer thrash in severe storms/wind and stay stabilized - so these do their job!

I love my rain chains. So pretty to watch when it rains, and so pretty when it doesn't - rather than unsightly gutter downspouts. We have four lovely ones around the house, and the shed is next! But they do need anchoring. I tried adding an end chain and burying that in a vase of rocks. It sort of works, but it can pull out in a whipping wind, or, the vase can bust in the freeze/thaw of the winter.. This is ideal to anchor it in the ground. I set down a few rocks on the ground where I stake the anchor, for the rain chain's water splash). I will be purchasing another set so all four rain chains are set!
