This is great, assuming your cable has a messenger wire (the support wire attached to the cable). It takes all the pressure off the wire itself. If the cable doesn't have the messenger wire, you'll need the traditional tension type of clamp.

This clamp was easy to use and even though I was using it for a Cat 6 cable and not RG6 it worked great. It was so much easier that just wrapping the messenger wire directly around a hook.

I think next time i will get the the kind that clamps on to the cable and messenger wire. This are time consuming and difficult to get the slack set perfectly when you have a long cable pull of heavy cable. They are solid and work well, but not easy to use in my opinion.

This product is pretty simple and straightforward. If you need to hang Ariel cable, this is a must-have item. It's the same cable clamp we used when I installed for a major cable company

My original drop clamp only wrapped front to back. Now it wraps around the cable and the clamp about 4 times and the tension is held at the cuff instead of the clamp
