I purchased a shower chair (Im a 300 pounder) new at the local supplier, and within six months the chair was fine, but the soft rubber ferrules had split. I needed to find a replacement so that I did not damage the shower mat or the shower floor surface. I went to the supplier of the chair when I bought it new, and four new soft garbage ferrules was going to cost me $60.....so I bought a new chair for $80 instead. I found the right size of chair leg end at my local hardware store for $5 (made sure I got the right size before ordering anything else), and they did the job temporarily, but they really aren't made for the intended use. These new ferrules are a much harder, but still pliable rubber, with steel washer inside to protect the ferrule, for $22.59 including tax. They fit snug to size and they are a quality product for a reasonable price. I want to order another set for the second shower chair, but, hey they are now out of stock!!!
