I have not yet had a chance to use it to call in deer, but it is exactly as described, and has a good sound to it. Looking forward to this fall's bow hunt.

Got what I paid for. Has a what looks like an aluminum spike in it which gives it a well fake sound.I have had better luck with bang bag

Sounds good and easy to use. The elastic band keeps everything quite until your ready.

Rattle bags aren’t bad, in theory—and with the right combination of solid manufacturing and masterful versatility, the Rattle Master Pro could have been way better than what customers ultimately receive. The volume is not particularly loud, and definitely insufficient to simulate two sets of antlers clashing in the violent, hormone-fueled combat of the rut. And most of this is the result of there being so little space inside the bag. The wood rods are a decent enough analog for antlers; they just don’t have enough room to be manipulated in a way that would make the Rattle Master Pro even remotely useful. There’s a band around the base of the bag that allows it to be muted, which is almost a joke because of how silent the call is anyway. Why Quaker Boy included metal in this product is beyond me. Nothing says “two deer fighting†better than the clanking shriek of metal, right? I think there were two carbon rods total; I poked a hole in the bag using one of the rods so that I could remove them from the setup altogether. This added a little more space inside the bag, increasing the range of sounding sequences I could make using just the woods; and also got rid of the annoying metal noises. But who really wants a hole in their rattle bag?I don’t understand the choice to include carbon rods. Even if they didn’t take up the (marginal) space that they do inside the bag, they do nothing to enhance the realism of the sound. I mean, they do add variability—but it’s bad variability, because it sounds terrible and unnatural. Just a dumb choice all around. I’m not saying that Quaker Boy necessarily needed to include genuine antler, or anything like that, to provide realism; but preliminary testing should have demonstrated to their quality control team that the Rattle Master Pro couldn’t have possibly benefited from the inclusion of carbon rods.It sounds embarrassingly fake with the carbon rods. It lacks volume, and the sound won’t carry in any environment. So what good is the Rattle Master Pro? Hey, don’t ask me!

Uncomfortable on hands. Hardly any rattling noise. Will not carry to woods again.
