For good results, please remove all attractants like pet food, bird feeders, and fallen fruit are all tempting targets for unwanted animals. Secure trash cans with tie-downs, place bird feeders out of reach, and ensure that chicken coops and pens are locked at night.

These are great for keeping wild hogs away from my yard! I was skeptical at first, but obviously the blinking lights do keep the hogs away. I set up 2 together for a better effect. They work great!

These were easy to set up and are functioning as expected. The lights are bright and they come on right at dusk. I have them around our chicken and duck coops to help persuade predators, like raccoons, to go elsewhere. I can’t say for sure if these are working, but I haven’t had any predators set off our cameras yet. These are a great additional layer of security to help keep our flock safe.

It's winter so I have not yet placed them in the yard as there is no vegetation or plants for the deer to eat. I charged them up in the window and tested them out. Once it is dark, they activate the blinking red led simulated eyes. I can see that this might be enough to scare the deer away. We have a lot of Hausta plants and the deer will eat them to the ground. I currently use deer spray that uses garlic and pepper to deter them. It works but only last about 6 weeks and it's expensive. I hope this will do the trick. Once spring comes, I will update my review if they work.

Note: I did receive the units with red blinking lights - pleasantly surprised!I have been using similar flashing eyes for several years. Some little critters don't like the flashing light, and some critters may think these are predator eyes.....I think the smarter wildlife (raccoons) kind of figure these out after awhile, so I move them around every few days or so, have them in different flashing colors, etc.I love that you can just hang them somewhere, leave them outside, they get some sun to charge up, they start flashing when it gets dark, and stop flashing when the sun comes up. These seem to work longer with a shorter amount of sun, so that is nice.The four that I received all had red flashing lights, which is my preference, so I was really happy about that. They also seem sturdier than some previous brands I have used.
