These work great for shipping my products. They hold a layer of cardboard and several sheets of paper very well. Like any envelope used for shipping, I do secure the closure tab even though it has sticking glue. I use my shipping label on the back side of the envelope and it perfectly covers the closer flap and other edges, just for added security with USPS.

I create wood art, and I use these envelopes to ship my small single Wood-Crosses. I'm a bit O.C.D., I sandwich cardboard with grain going in opposite directions increasing the strength incredibly. At 10 cents apiece these envelopes pay for themselves. When I ship items under 13 ounces they go 1st class and get the same delivery service as Priority so I can pass on savings to my customers and still cover all my S&H materials, eBay & PayPal fees with a little left over. My customers are very happy paying half the priority rates and get the same service. They underestimated when saying "You Save:$4.79 (32%)" in the listing. I actually saved over $5 as well as saving gas driving 15 miles to the big office store. A thirty mile round trip takes just over a gallon of gas, so that's an additional few bucks. And what is your time worth? These envelopes are actually better quality than the stores brand I purchased before these. The stores brand I have to tape the bottom seam since they are poorly glued. I guess I could "staple" them. The 6.5" x 9.5" is a hard size to find and that half inch makes all the difference allowing room for my 5" x 7" x 1/8" thick cross and a couple sheets of cardboard.I will be ordering these again in the future, save money and get a better quality than what I can get at the office store.

I apparently misread this. The clear clasp system means it is closed by a sticky tape closure basically. It has been fine, but I would have preferred a true clasp. I have opened and closed these, and it does seem to hold up on the sticky factor, so at least that seems to be good quality!

These envelopes are a great deal, I've used other brands which I've been buying on Amazon as well and the price for 100 pack averages between $16.99 - $19.99 When I was able to score these for less than ten bucks in was ano brainer. As far as quality I see no difference. Not in Stock Weight, Seams or clasps (except these are silver) For my needs they need to be strong as I store and organize jewelry in them which I sell on my e-commerce site - these work just as well as any other brand I've tried.Nice quality touches are:* Thick Paper doesn't tear* Adhesive strip is activated by moisture - if you don't need it, it won't stick, if you do it will.* Copper folding tabs keep the envelope closed* Re-enforced tab hole means no tearing or wear.At this low price per hundred this represents an excellent deal with great bang for your buck. With Free Two Day Shipping Included for Prime Members the deal is just that much sweeter. Simply one of those often overlooked products that we end up having multiple uses for. These envelopes will serve you well.Highly Recommended.

The clasp made an indent marking and or punctured about 90 out of 100 envelopes
