It works, but there will be an airlock preventing the cylinder from sliding all the way on if you screw the adapter onto the large tank first. First you secure the adapter to the small soda jet cylinder. Then the large tank. Then turn on the valve.

I have a 20lbs CO2 bottle from AirGas. No siphon. So I attach this adapter to the tank, then turn over the tank. Attach the Quick Connect Pink Bottle, make sure the bottle goes all the way in.I also put the Pink Bottle in freezer for a couple hours.Once connected, I open the valve slowly, and let it run for about 45 seconds. The noise stopped and it is filled. I weigh the bottle to make sure I don't over fill. Should be around 1200 grams full.When the bottle is frozen, it won't be as powerful a CO2 flow, so give it 30 mins to get to room temp. Works great. Already done 3 refills.

It was easy to connect my large tank to the small tank and refill the small tank. It will save a lot of $$.

The adpater works great for refilling the bottle. The release screw can me hard to turn after a refill due to the pressure, so need to go slow. Make sure you push the bottle all the way in and flush against the adapter. Best is to freeze the small Sodastream bottle first. I had to refill and freeze the bottle repeating several times to get it to fill completely.

I use my 20 lb welding CO2 tank to charge the SodaStream Gas bottles. This worked perfectly for the newer pink bottles without threads. Chill the bottles in the freezer before filling to get the most liquid CO2 into them and fill them slowly to avoid closing the check valve.
