We wanted something to sit on top of our backyard deck to shield us from the blazing summer sun. Setup was very easy and the frame was sturdier than I thought it would be at first glance. What really makes this work on top of a deck are the ropes that came in the package. One end ties to the corner of the tarp that sits on top of the frame. The other ends we tied to the porch railings. This made everything really sturdy and wind-resistant.The first day we put it up we got hit with a heavy downpour (right?). There were strong gusts of wind, but the rain was mostly falling straight down, so we decided to stay under the canopy for a full test. I know this product is not rated to be waterproof, but we and the deck below the canopy remained perfectly dry and we enjoyed watching the rain. The following day we sat under canopy all day. It was a reasonably warm day -- almost 90 -- but the canopy shielded us from the sun perfectly and with the help of a fan and a periodic breeze, we were able to stay under the canopy from morning until evening. This product exceeds my expectations and is exactly what we hoped it would be and more.

I bought this in 2022 and put it up on my back deck.. I recently left it up and it was a bad storm. The tent flew over the deck because I didnรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt secure it. It was not damaged. After the storm, I put it up and weeks later another storm came and I totally forgot about it being up and again it flew over my deck and the cover ripped. I was so mad at myself so I emailed the company and Ivy answered and gave me instructions on how I can get another cover. She was extremely nice and helpful to the fullest. I rate my experience with the help from Ivy as well as the overall tent from 1-10, a 15. This tent is very sturdy. Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขm glad I picked this particular tent. It comes with a rolling bag which is also great quality. You will love it. I take my 6yr old grandson out there to have his lunch after school and watch his tablet. This tent is awesome. I can take it down by myself but my daughter helps me click it up. Thatรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs probably because Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขm not sure how to do it but once I learn, I know I will be able to do it with no help. (although help is always good) Thanks to Ivy for helping with the replacement. Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขm in a good mood again lol

I bought the 8x8 size for my back deck in Sep 2021 and left it up until late 2022. It served my purpose as a shady, insect limited space and held up in some pretty stiff winds. Not fully waterproof but never leaked in light rains until the canopy started to weaken after a year in the Alabama weather. It was screwed to my wood deck and did not move in 50-60 mph gusts. Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขve just ordered a replacement canopy and look forward to having my รขโ‚ฌล“roomรขโ‚ฌย back on my deck for this year.

I love this canopy. Life changing. Heavy winds did not knock it off the porch. Not 1950s american quality, but not terrible either. It works and I'm happy with it. Lasted 6 months and 1 move so far and holding up well. The only downside is that at the top, where it attaches with velcro, winds will cause it to pull up and thus leak. I solved by putting plastic up there, but had to un-velcro. Would like a better solution. For the price though, worth 5 stars. Sure beats having to build one, and cheaper too and looks nice. I would buy again.

I bought the 8x8 one in March 2020. It lasted one season, until the wind/rain came in late in the fall.Setting up was within reason -- not too difficult, but would take a few hours. It took longer for me, since I decided to do some reinforcements (reading earlier review of it's being flimsy)1. Tie the frame down to sturdy places, so winds wouldn't blow and topple the whole thing to one side.2. I added ropes around the roofing area to keep the pyramid shape, so any rain/water falling on the roof can easily escape to the side. For most of the season, we very much enjoyed it. The screen served the purpose well to keep mosquitos out.I was planning to take the canopy down at the end of the season for storage, bud didn't get the chance. We had a storm late in the fall, and the whole thing just collapsed. Upon closer examination, there are several reasons.1. The roofing area doesn't have enough structure to keep the pyramid shape. Heavy rain would push the canopy, creating a big pocket, and leaving the water there. The pocketful of water would further stretch the canopy, and creating bigger pocket of water, until the limit of the frame.2. The weakness was identified earlier, so I paid specific attention to use a rod to push the roof up and get the water out. But I couldn't babysit it during every storm.3. Even the rope I added was only of limited help. The canopy (and rope) material expands and shrinks with temperature, and it failed to be taut to prevent forming "pocketful of water"Overall, great idea, but execution is poor. Improving the design to make the roof sturdy so it can stand against storm is needed.

This is 8x8 canopy. I didn't push the legs all the way up. That's why the mosquito net is a little low. I bought it specifically for my swing outside. It does its job. I think one person can assemble it but it's better if you get a help from another person. When you stretch out the frame, it's better when at least two people help out with that. Otherwise, it's fairly easy to put it all together. I love the mosquito net. It is darkening a little bit which helps with shades. Everything is great about it. It is not meant to be a permanent tent outside.
