I used them to replace the latches on my ATV rear cargo box. They are stiff but will probably loosen over time. There is no guide on how much to space the latches apart so check your strength in pulling these up or down. Also if you use these in plastic you may have to use backing washers or special tri-fold rivets because regular rivets may pull out of thin plastic.

This latch may be fine, but for me, I wanted a few more holes to secure the brackets. I use them on an off-road buggy that has run on the Baja 500 course in Mexico. Things breakdown so you want stronger material and brackets. I will use the rubber straps they look and feel strong, but I will use my original brackets with more holes for added security

Bought them for the battery box cover on my Mack. Work great. Just make sure you don’t put the catch too far away, they don’t stretch much.

These latches don't stretch at all. Completely useless.
