Like you, I've bought some of the less expensive Chinese stainless steel. Some of it has been weak. Some great. This is one of the good ones. 5 pack of 3/8" x 6" "marine grade" eye bolts. 316 stainless and appears to be the real deal. This is the guide for the rod controlling the DIY bucket level indicator on my John Deere tractor I fabricated. $20 bucks for 5 of them = $4 each. OK if they are the real deal. They are and the finish on the eye bolt isn't just an end rolled into a circle. It's a fully finished "eye", with a very well dressed shoulder. Definitely a good looking piece. Not sure what project I will use the other 4. They are too nice for just any eye bold application.

Purchased for my boat lift for the bitter end on the cable lift system. Fit the original location of the cable fixity for the lift great. Comes with a flat washer and nut but you might consider a nylon jam nut to assure it not backing off.
