Bought these to use at work to prevent my coworkers from using my equipment while I’m out of the shop. They’re super straightforward and easy to use. I am now able to safely keep my tools protected without worrying about coming back to work to them moved, used, or damaged. They seem to be fairly good quality so for the price, it’s definitely worth it.

Really works with securing the plug from being connected to the outlet. Use it all the time for my teenagers tv when grounded.

I tried this on a three prong plug and it locks into place securely. The ground pin of the plug sits outside of the plastic lock. There was one appliance I tested it on and the lock wouldn’t grab onto the plug. My guess is that the hole on the plug prong wasn’t big enough for the lock to engage with. The two locks came with two keys each and the keysets are different between the two locks.

Finally! Something that worked! I did not buy these for at home, no I got these for a student In my class who just would not leave the plugs alone. It did take him very long to understand that these were “the real deal†and that he could not mess around with the any plug with “them red things on the ends.â€Very well made, individually keyed, solid, sturdy, fit both three prong and two prong, plus VERY visible. I think they are great.

I bought this not for electrical work. I have a cleaning buisness and at one of my daily sites, I leave my Proteam commercial backpack vacuum in a designated area. It is not there for other vendors or tenets of the complex to use for their personal offices (which I'm not contracted to do, but can be hired independently). For 2 weeks straight, someone was using my vac and putting it back in disarray. To keep the peace and not accuse anyone (I don't know who it was) I purchased these to lockout the cord each day. They aren't easy to pick open and must be destroyed to get off without a key. So far, it has been successful in keeping my equipment unused by others.Very easy to use and provide sufficient security in low risk use situations. Good for securing dangerous or high value equipment you don't want others using without your permission/supervision.

Bought these to discourage other employees from using my personal fans and power tools in a plant I work at. If left available to use, my 200 dollar fan that I've had for three years will have a life expectancy of 30 days. People stretch and pull cords, run over them with forklifts shorting the conductors inside the cords, or having to search the plant to find it hidden in a corner. Like any lock, it keeps honest people honest and keeps my stuff as I left it, un-violated and ready to work. These locks attach firmly to the holes in the prongs and don't let go without the key.
