The glass isn’t smooth, you can see and feel the ripples but the joint is ground well, the glass is thick and it funnels well. Functionally great, aesthetically could be better.

It's a funnel. Ground glass joint fits properly. My only issue is that the ground glass joint seems harder to clean than some other ground glass joints on different prices I have (different brands). For some reason manganese hydroxide really stained the ground glass. While it came off easily from my other glassware with a quick chemical bath it seemed really stubborn on this and never came completely off with the same solution.

This funnel is constructed of thick borosilicate glass and has a perfectly ground 24/40 short taper stem. It is ideal for adding solid or liquid reactants and solvents to boiling flasks or other containers with a complimentary female 24/40 neck, which is desirable to avoid contaminating the ground surface of a distillation or reaction vessel. It can also be used for hot filtration owing to the short stem and generous lumen diameter. The funnel was received promptly and was well packaged to prevent breakage. I would buy another one without hesitation.
