I've bought these a couple times now for various lashing purposes. They hold securely yet they are easy to release. I've had one the battery box on my pontoon boat for a couple years and it's holding up just fine in that wet environment.

This work pretty well to hold the lid in my rvs battery cover, but they are quite thin so they slide around quite a bit.

Bought these to hold down a battery but it gets loose with the vibrations. Tried 2 straps per battery and still got loose
