Used this to replace a failed solenoid for my anchor winch. Works great! Just installed so we will see how long it lasts, but I can buy 8 of these for the price of the name brand so its worth a try!

No problems with it yet. This is installed on my 850 High-Lifter 4wheeler so it gets some use on it. The original one fried from water exposures. I hope this one last, it's been submerged a few times already. I didn't use rubber wire boots on this one to minimize the holding water and causing corrosion on terminals and wiring. But I might have to seal them with liquid electrical tape to minimize arcing when I switch on the winch. I noticed that happens yesterday when I was using the winch.

This is a double acting relay for winch motors. The relay has two poles. The center tap of each pole connects to a battery terminal. The two switching poles connect to the winch motor "plus" and "minus" terminals.There are two relay coil terminals plus a common ground terminal. Apply 12V to one coil terminal and "+ battery" connects to "+ motor" terminal. "- battery " connects to "- motor" terminal. This is usually "winch in" mode. Connect 12V to the other coil terminal and "+ battery" connects to "- motor" while "- battery" connects to + motor" (reverse polarity). This is usually "winch out" mode.This allows you to more easily create your own remote control in case your winch doesn't already have one.

I bought to replace the solenoid on my Smittybilt 8k winch, for the cost it was worth a shot. I tried to find a Smittybilt replacement, but the only ones I could find cost as much as the entire winch, so it was worth trying this one.The lack of a wiring diagram and the markings on the solenoid made the process a little harder than it should be, my original solenoid and wiring was completely burned up so I wasn't able to reference it. For my specific winch, the second terminal that is marked as a negative needs to be battery positive for it to work. I included the diagram if anyone needs it.I will update this review if the solenoid fails, but so far it's working fine.

Worked great with Smittybuilt XCR 9K winch. Thankfully some users posted a nice diagram because it doesn't come with any directions and most leads aren't labeled.

so what i do with this is i have a winch on a tilt trailer with a 7 foot upright bar, lifts bed and lets back down, bought a different brand last year, died, cant review cuz amazon shows it in purchase but nothing else,, anyhow, hooked up fine with the problems, I like the spade design so my switch if not right I can change easy enough, wish the bracket was wider if that makes sense since I mount it on a ammo box with a battery and manual switch,, should handle the power just fine,,, got two for the price i had purchased one before, win win,,

Easy swap out. A few millimeters shorter than my WARN controller. Fits no problem in the previous location. Operates my 3000 lb rated ATV no problem.No instructions but easy to figure out.Connection tips:- The POS and NEG markings are for the battery hookups.- The other 2 unmarked posts are for the winch motor. Wire order does not matter.- The middle flat tab has a wire connected to the NEG post and I kept it there. The other 2 tabs are for your winch switch connectors. If the winch operates in the reverse direction, swap the switch connectors.

Montato per comandare il verricello della barca funziona perfettamente. Qualche difficolta' nei collegamenti perche' la confezione non contiene alcuno schema, comunque girando in internet ho risolto.Direi ottima alternativa a prodotti di marca nel settore nautico ben piu' costosi.
